Perfect. Just tried it on localhost and the event for visibilitychange (active) is only fired once during load

love your work. this one hasn't noticeably let me down like the other visibility api spoofers. ~ works perfect on multiple tabs on twitch, & youtube. ~ also excited but your new 3.2 version.
(but also need to disable browser-animation throttling in about:config.)

It actually inverts the issue. Without it, all tabs see themselves is invisible, with it all pages see themselves as visible. Autor recommends to use a separate profile or a Chrome-based browser to not apply the addon on all pages, which resluts in higher power consumption.
(other idea: do not enable this addon for private mode and open tabs that are supposed to be not fake-active in private mode - however this has different side-effects)

If you open tabs in the background, you NEED this addon. Pages load and lay out just as if you're looking at them, so there's no delay or blinking when you do swap to the tab.
An absolute must with Dark Reader and similar.

Not to mention, added privacy, and consistent website behaviour regardless of your browsing technique. The most underrated addon.

No icon to activate it, tabs behave just as before this extension - turn inactive once another tab with media stats playing.

This solves the issue where some sites, like new Reddit and Nebula, doesn't load the title until the tab is clicked, making it really annoying to ctrl+click multiple tabs you want to view, since you don't see the title of the tabs until you manually open them one by one.

    This fixes that! Thanks! :D

Hey, I couldn't get your extension to work for my particular case. I'm trying to stop movies and videos or livestreams from freezing in the background. I noticed the videos freeze after 10 seconds if I open a different tab in fullscreen. But I did a lot of digging and I fixed it by going to about:config and changing media.suspend-bkgnd-video.delay-ms to a really high value. Might be something to look into

It broke some sites, but working pretty well, would be nice if the extension had a blacklist/whitelist feature.
