Version for Dark Window Themes Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Here is a modified version with White text so the title will show up on window borders when using dark themes.

For those curious, the change was to add :
cx.fillStyle = "rgb(255, 255, 255)";

Right after :
cx.font = 'message-box';
cx.fillStyle = '-moz-MenuBarText';
cx.textBaseline = 'middle';

In :
aero-overlay.xul

This does work with Windows XP... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

with one quick change to the aero-overlay.css file:

#aero-titlebar-stack {
margin-bottom:-25px !important;
}

with that change it works perfectly in XP. Would be nice if the developer added a way to change the font, font size, font color and font style (i.e. bold, italic, etc.).

Almost perfect! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

The only thing against it is that it doesn't work with dark personas. The background of the text is whitened a little, but it needs to be whitened way more!

Simple and Effective Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It does exactly what it's supposed to do: it adds the Page Title to the top of the window for Aero. Due to its simplicity, I would suppose that it is unlikely to interfere with other add-ons.

Does not work with XP.

Firefox on Windows XP by default shows the regular menu. If you turn that off, you should get a Firefox button and I think that this extension will work. But I haven't tried it recently.

Thank you, for the fix (version 1.6), to get the Title back with Firefox 7 (nightlies).
Great extension.

I canNOT believe I have to install this! But I'm SOOO glad it's here!

BTW I'm not using Aero and it works fine. The only thing missing is the firefox logo but I think that's about firefox 4 more than the add-on.

great addon. this should really be achievable without an addon though. for people who don't put their 'tabs on top' there's no need in having that blank space up there with no title.
you may want to consider adding some options for font manipulation. like color, size, adjustment (I kinda want to center mine).

Very good extension, I was missing title ....

One small problem :
I got tabs on bottom.
In full screen mode, there is empty space between title bar and location bar(buttons.
In window mode, there is no empty space.
Hope you can fix it (I have a 800 pix heigth screen and always in full screen mode, and i hate loosing space :) )

[Edit v1.6] Great ! no more lost space. Thanks a lot.
If you could add some option to configure font, it would be 6 stars :)

Works perfectly! Just what I needed -- it was driving me crazy to see a big blank space and no titles :)

problem solved! it seems that when the menu bar is active you also get the title bar. to hide the title bar you have disable the menu bar. I'm not sure if this extension caused the problem, but it is solved now

Classic theme font color Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Great extention but I can't read the title under the classic theme as the font is black on dark blue. Any chance you can change the font color to white (or whatever windows default is) when Aero isn't supported. * yes I know this add-on is called Aero window title but it would nice to support the classic theme too.

"Firefox" in window title has its uses Rated 4 out of 5 stars

As far as the words "Mozilla Firefox" in the window title: many automation & macro apps identify windows based on the fixed part of the window title. Without "Firefox" some macros couldn't ID the FF window properly. I do agree that this could be optional. No need for "Firefox" in the title for those who don't use macros. Would be nice to see some color settings, as the title is hard to read on dark backgrounds.

There are no options?..:( So it's not possible to have it not show (become inactive), when the window is maximized? This will, of course, allow the tabs to move up to the title bar, as the default behavior.

Great - but affects tabs in titlebar when maximsed Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thanks for this so obvious add-on! However v1.3 breaks the tabs in the titlebar when maximised (beta9 & minefield only). Tabs no longer sit at the top of the screen when the browser is maximised. Can this be fixed before release?

This field intentionally left blank for unknown design reasons. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Why was the title removed? One of my biggest complaints about Vista/Win7 is that the Explorer windows have the titles removed, leaving a huge empty blank space that just wastes screen space. Who thought we didn't want to know the titles of the webpages we browse as well? For something traditionally called the TITLE BAR, I would expect to see a title.

The only thing I would change is to remove the " - Mozilla Firefox etc." section as the big orange button already tells me I'm using Firefox.

Works great, but broken in Minefield Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is an indispensable addon for those of us who like to see the full contents of a page title as we control + tab through our open pages. However, it's breaks the Firefox button rendering in the most recent nightly builds - the menu button is twice the height it should be.

Bug in latest trunk build & Excellent Add-on! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Bug: This add-on makes the Title Bar too tall in the recent trunk/nightly builds[1].

Otherwise this a is badly needed add-on that adds back functionality that should never have been removed from Firefox in the first place!

1.1 with FF 4b4? Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I get an error if I want to install your older version Version 1.1 3.09.2010 in my Firefox 4 Beta 6. But this version is compatible with your information of version 1.1. Isn't it?
