I added this tool to the add-on collection today. After the restart of FF, I opened the add-on window and every time I either clicked on the "options" button for this tool or tried a right-click to look for options of this tool, the add-on box would freeze. I couldn't move, select other things, or even close the add-on box and had to force FF(rel 3.6.3) to close. Once the tool was removed, FF was back to working normal. NOT good. Can NOT recommend based on this performance. *two thumbs down*
Unfortunately, although this sounds like a great idea for an extension, when I installed and tried to access it's options dialog, it froze FF.
Works well. This is available on Firefox 3.5 completely! (Yes, I installed this by ingoring version check.)
If you're an author of addons, you should see the code. It's very smart and simple, so this works on many versions of Firefox including trunk.
The only referer remover I know that can block sending certain addresses *as* referers, as opposed to blocking sites to which referers get sent. This means that if I have a site which I want to 'hide', I don't have to block every site that could be linked to - I just add the one site to this addon.
The regex syntax of the patterns might be a bit hard to grasp at first, but really... Just follow the examples and you'll be fine.
Still works great in 3.0.10. Please update the addon :)
Not really handy.
-click Tools -> Addon -> find this addon -> Update it (takes forever)
-write regular expressions
-lack of documentation
the HTTP Referer would temp. not work.
Man kann dieses Addon unter Firefox 3 Problemlos nutzen^^
Wann gibt es denn ein Update welches mit dem neuen Firefox 3 kompatibel ist?
