I have changed the background color and although it works it does not stay as it should and reverse to default after a while.
What colors are bests for Gmail and Office 365 accounts?

Google red is #db3236
MS Office red is #ea3e23
Joyful selections with [ Account Colors ] program^^
Carefully, I decided account colors for Korean popular email service providers^^
NAVER corporation is #008000(green)
DAUM communication is #0000FF(blue)
I am encouraged, if you will have some time to update your fantastic addon!
It´s one of my favourite! =)
Please update it to work with the new TB 57 (which looks so ugly by default, without this Addon).
This is really nice, but have a few suggestions and or bugs. I would like to see an option in the thread view to separate out "Account". Right now it is lumped in with date, etc. Also the thread view only seems to work on the Inbox Folders, but not the Sent folders or any others. The Thread view should work in all folders, Thanks
I'm not usually a great lover of add ons but this is a little gem.
This Add-On has been Tremendously Helpful to me.
Previously, I was considering going to a different email client because Thunderbird does not Natively distinguish between accounts (which I find odd); but this Excellent Add-On has made the difference!
I have just one suggestion for the author:: Your excellent addon IS working just FINE with my Thunderbird Version, even though the "Version Information" section says that it won't (I am on the Beta Channel, and am currently running Thunderbird Version 52) . . . So could you PLEASE make the little adjustment that would allow it to work with the newer versions? Otherwise, I am concerned that this WONDERFUL Addon may eventually not work on my Thunderbird.
Thank You Again! :)
The compatibility of Account Colors 9.2 has been updated to Thunderbird 3.1 - 52.*.
but I have a suggestion:
It would be nice, if the user defined font color also appear on _selected_ elements in the folder and thread pane (maybe as an extra option).
I have multiple email accounts and this is just what I need to differentiate them. Suggest improvement would to be able to adjust the striping of received emails.
Not sure what to advise. No other users have reported similar problems. Perhaps you have another add-on that conflicts with Account Colors.
=>I do not think so. The problem stay when I remove all addons .
Is the hightlighting (bold/underline) of new mail and unread messages in accounts and inboxes still working correctly in Folder Panel?
You can't miss this addon! Thanks.
Question : Outgoing message header colors is only white now. Can't seams to get the selected color working like for incoming. TB 45. Any workaround?
EDIT : Developer is going to work on it (y)
I needed sth. to keep me from writing e-mails using the wrong from-address. This does the trick. Thanks a lot.
Thanks for a great tool that I've been using for quite some time already. I just discovered that the later versions even allow to color the identities in the composing window (in the drop down list with identities that seems to get longer and longer ;-)).
Question: would it be technically possible to include an option to change also the background colors of the sub-identities? Right now, picking a background color works only for the main identity of each account. I'd like to make a few identities really stand out (so I won't use them inadvertently) by giving them a dark background and a bright font.
The idea of all identities belonging to an account having the same background is so that you know that they do all belong to the same account.
Technically, it would be possible to allow the background color to be set for each identity, but the default would probably still be to give the same background color to all identities belonging to same account.
This feature will be considered for a future version of Account Colors.
This works really well for me, especially, because I aggregate all my email in Local Folders. There are lots of customization options so that you can subtly or boldly highlight different accounts.
It cannot set bg-colors of html-mails I write, right?
I would like to (isnt that the most important color?).
Setting the font family in selfwritten html-mails by account (or identity) woud be nice too.
edit: Its all about finding the right plugin by name or description...
plugin "stationary" does the job I needed. Hard to find because its silly name for people that do not use outlook. Who uses outlook? [shaking head]
The main point of Account Colors is to allow the account owner to identify which account/identity their received and sent e-mails belong to, and when composing e-mails to know which account/identity they are being sent from. This can be done quite effectively by color coding the font/background colors in the Thunderbird user interface, without changing the styling of e-mail contents.
When composing e-mails, the background colors and font families in HTML e-mails are really for the benefit of the recipients, not for the account owner (sender). The approach taken in Accounts Colors is to color code the e-mail header, which should be sufficient to remind the sender which account the e-mail will be sent from.
Hi, today i update TB, and now dont see all Accounts in the Options?! Have ca. 60-70 Accounts. What is the matter?!
How many identities can you see in the 'Account/Identity Colors' options tab of the 'Account Colors Options' dialog?
At present, Account Colors allows a maximum of 60 accounts to be colored.
If you need this limit increased, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
This addon enhanced the looking of different emails and easily recognizable by assigning colors. Thanks for the developer.
I installed this app but It does not do anything. I have changed the background color for one account and there is no difference in the account in the Folder pane nor in the compose window even thought those options are enabled.
Please can you provide more information about the problem:
- Which operating system are you using?
- Which version of Account Colors are you using?
- Are you using a POP3 or an IMAP e-mail account?
- Have you enabled the four 'Color Account ...' and 'Color Folders ...' settings in the 'Folder Pane' option tab?
- Do you have the 'Color Folders' or 'tasks & mails' add-ons installed?
Please e-mail this information to: email@example.com
When I change the email address in the from section, the color does not change with it.
Please provide some more details about the problem:
- Were you composing (writing) an e-mail when this problem occurred?
- Have you configured the settings in the 'Account/Identity Colors' tab of the 'Options' dialog?
- Have you set the font and background colors in the for each of your accounts/identities?
- Have you configured the settings in the 'Compose Window' tab of the 'Options' dialog?
- Was the message header correctly colored before you changed the 'From' e-mail address?
Hello, everything is in the title. Will you check what can be done to restore Colors Folder's functions ?Thanks
I dunno how to answer, hence I'm updating this review.
I really enjoyed finding your feedback. 6.11 works fine on my computer now. Thanks a lot for your diligence.
This problem is fixed in Version 6.11 which has been released.
Really useful add-on. But it doesn't work properly with "Enhanced Priority Display" (or vice versa). Could you add a new option for task panel about priority messages? That would be so nice! Just a way to highlight priority emails... and no need for "Enhanced Priority Display"... :-)
It is a Superbe addon. I used it together with Account Colors, but since the last AC update (v 6.10) it does not work. The folders remain in default TB colors. Is it possible to fix this? (it worked before) For anyone who wonders why one needs both, Account Colors is great for folder fonts in folder pane and Message Pane and is great in Compose pane. Account colors is great for the folders itself.
Thanks for quick update!
This addon is not working in Thunderbird 17.0.4 after 6.6 update.
I see only a blank account colour tab
This problem is fixed in Account Colors 6.7.
I can only confirm that after update to ver. 6.6 I cannot see any options on Account/Identity Colors tab in addon-options window - only blank tab under it`s name.
In version 6.5 everything was OK.
Version 6.6 should have been fixed as soon as possible.
This problem is fixed in Account Colors 6.7.
