I find the ability to change background and font colors useful but the Restore Page function does not work. Once I've changed colors they stick wherever I browse to. I have to close and restart the browser to return to normal. Update: OK, this works - uninstalled 0.7.6 and installed 0.7.5 - Restore Page now works.
BG Color does not work. I'm tired of the white glare of my browser pages. It hurts my eyes and I tried Accessbar tool bar BG Color and it changes nothing.
This is a great tool, I love it! Thank you!
It is an essential add-on because some web pages prefer their (strange) design to a readable content.
But since it upgraded itself to version 0.7.6 the "Restore Page" does not work.
I press it and nothing happens. I tried to uninstall/reinstall - it did not help.
I have English version 184.108.40.206 Portable Firefox
Look I love this ext there is nothing else that does text to speech in the area of a firefox ext & do not get me wrong there use to be, but they stopped updating alongtime ago, so I commend this creator of this tezt to speech ext for doing such a good job & giving me back my text to speech website reading ability in firefox, but I also use on my computer TextAloud & it works now on IE & Firefox, but I still use this ext because it is not as bloated as TextAloud & for all of you that always have a but, why don't you write a program yourself you ungreatfull pains in all of our kissers. I for one are very appreciative to this person who created this extension expecially because I just got through having eye surgury & it helps me a great deal expecially adding that I also have most of the expensive AT&T Text To Speech Engines installed that I purchased when I purchased TextAloud & all of them were worth the money because when my computer reads what I want it to, then it really sounds like a real person & using Accessibar or TextAloud mp3 I even record into an mp3 file or exp[ort it using TextAloud and then listen to full website & whole Ebooks using my mp3 player. So give it a try people but again the reader is only as good as the text to speech engine & there are alot of good realistic sounding ones out there & I for one has spent a great deal of money on them & I will also donate to the creator of (Accessibar) the best text to speech Ext on Firefox that I will use for a very longtime. Again thank you for such a great tool, You are truly an angel!
this thing is great for some people who mainly want to read things rather than see images on the internet, changes font size, line spacing, takes out images. the onyl problem i have is that when you take out the images, it does take it out, but on the next page the images load up again. it would be great if the image blocker would take it out so it doesnt load at all (which will load the page faster) and keep the image blocker on on the upcomming pages.
It is a useful tool, thank you for your work but there may be a room for improvement e.g if I enlarge the text, it becomes wider & I need to keep scrolling left & right to read it. so if words are wrapped after size changed would be excellent!
one thing i would like is more voices to choose from or simply a link where to get them. also a large problem occurs when text is embedded into an image i don't believe that can be overcome but some refinement is needed but besides that its great overall for anyone who needs help reading some text online you can change almost everything or have it read to you great job
I love this extension for the way I can change long black print on white background articles and other readibles to grey text on black background. It's much easier on my eyes. For text size buttons I reccomend the toolbar buttons extension instead because this one is three button spaces wide and requires you to have al three on the bar at once. Also, when you use tabs, changing one tab's template causes the others to also change once they are refreshed. All in all, i find it very useful
accessibar is a quite fancy thing to use.
But after applying your personal perference.
the CSS of a certain website is permanently overrided.
I wonder whether a function of temporary disable of accessibar function can be appeared in the tool bar
