Breaks firefox 29.0.1 Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Had to disable add-ons one by one, but found the SOB eventually.

This one...

Does what it says and does it well (With the momentary caveat that v0.25 *might* need an update for FF29) Rated 5 out of 5 stars

The 5 stars are the "take-home" message of my review: this add-on has served me well and no doubt will again soon, enough said.

( In contrast, the caveat I mention above is incidental; it's given here just in case, in the short term, it saves a few other people hours of chasing false leads from FF message boards, futzing in FF Safe Mode, and finally giving in and testing various combinations of their 3 dozen add-ons [i.e. the obvious approach].
Anyway: If you happen to still be using v0.25 of this add-on - probably *only* in the OSX [10.7.5?] version of FF 29.0.0[ + 29.0.1rc2 ] - and you also typically happen to have *far too many* FF extensions simultaneously enabled at any given time, and suddenly FF's session restores and/or new Australis UI components have gone wonky, you might try checking if this is a factor... but it might not be - who can say? )

Thanks for making this addon,
with alot of youtube tabs open and one temporarily
allows youtube to run scripts using noscript,
all youtube tabs start reloading,
it's nice to be able to stop all tabs with one button.

Some suggestions:

(Tested in firefox v24, linux mint 15 cinnamon 32bit)

Middle clicking the combined reload/stop button,

Without Absolute Load Control installed,
the current tab gets duplicated.

With Absolute Load Control installed,
the current tab reloads the page from memory,
and the duplicate tab functionality is lost.

Since there is a reload from memory button
in the right click menu, maybe the default
behaviour should be to duplicate tab,
and there could be an option to change
the middle click behaviour.

If one separates the reload and stop buttons,
then middle clicking the reload button
duplicates the current tab,
but nothing happens when middle clicking the
stop button.

Most people probably keep them combined,
but it might be an option to be able to
configure their middle click behaviour separatly.

Tiny spelling corrections.
On the add-on page, under About this Add-on

// line 1

// line 3
rightclick opens popup with more options

// line 4

from:

and from:

to:

// line 5
>relod from memory this is useful while developing greasmonkey scripts, or you have changed page with firebug and want to go back to original

from:

and from:

to:

// line 7
>stop on pages which are not loading stops animated images

The line above is hard to understand.

on a page with animated pictures like this one
http://www.animated-pictures.net/
if one presses stop, the animations stop,
so line 7 should probably say something like:
Pressing the stop button stops animated images.

// line 10
to disable pages from autorefreshing with meta tags select Block Autorefresh addon options page

from:

to:
Block Autorefresh on the addon options page.

also the combined reload/stop buttons tooltip:
shift+leftClick/middleClick: relod from memory
control+leftClick: bypass cache

from:
relod
to:
reload

good Rated 4 out of 5 stars

i've opened 20+ tabs and from time to time i got restart ff cause of its memory abuse. not to fill it up at start up i cancelled the network so no tab could be loaded and ram is "fresh". i can reload every tab if i need it - my sort of bookmark :)
absolut load control offers second solution for that, especially for tabs that try to load till eternity like yt i can klick stop all.
-
i wish there would be a button to freeze all tabs except the present tab in front. Wouldn't this give the actual tab the full processor power respectively 'calm down' all other tabs to give back more cpu to the front tab??
this would be worth to think of i mean :)
thx

Loving This Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've been trying the lock... tab features in Tab Mix Plus but they don't work.
So I decided to go searching for one that might work. Some days I go to a lot of news websites and they seem to auto-reload from time to time. It's very annoying when your reading some comments and then the page reloads. Get's very frustrating. So far Right clicking the Reload button and choosing _Freeze Tab_ freezes that tab and it doesn't show up again. I have numerous ones open that used to do it and with Tab Mix Plus settings where tabs I haven't read show up in a differnet color and background color it's easy to tell.

Thanks. Works very good. Even with FF 6.0 beta's.

Absolutely wonderful addon esp. if you have sites wanting to load unnecessary info to the page. Unfortunately does not work with new tabs, only new windows. Easy to use. Thanks for this.

Update:
The developer has released a new version of this add-on (in record time!) that works with the uncombined reload and stop buttons. I can use it now! Thank you! Very deserved five stars.

I was delighted to find this add-on: finally an add-on that will let me reload broken tabs! But unfortunately I don't have the stop and reload buttons combined in my Firefox layout, so it simply doesn't work for me. Pity!Are there plans to make it work with the "uncombined" reload button?

you asked it and you got it :)
version 0.15 from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/absolute-load-control/versions/ works with the "uncombined" reload button
now can i have my 5 stars please?
