Prima app Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Deze app is uitstekend en is makkelijk te configureren naar eigen smaak. Het heeft me al veel behoed voor slechte sites met alle gevolgen van dien.

WOT is a simple Scam Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Ecosia is a really great initiative BUT WOT is something NOT to be trusted. It rated websites based on opinions rather than trust or security. It's a system which is gamed and spammed. Read its reviews before using WOT.

If you go to various consumer complaint websites, you will see multiple complaints about the Web of Trust {WOT) Go to a search engine and type in phrases like complaint, scam, etc and the name of this addon which is Web of Trust (WOT). McAfee Site Advisor is more reliable as far as spotting dangerous websites and not prone to people attacking a website with poor ratings because they disagree with its religious or political views. I would also suggest getting a router to protect your computer.

WOT isn't a scam. Facebook, and other big players agree.

Facebook has partnered with Web of Trust to warn of potentially dangerous websites:

The in Russia well-known e-mail service uses WOT to keep users safe from threats. At, they call it "reliable protection" (translated from Russian).

The privacy-friendly search engine uses WOT icons in its search results to help users determine the trustworthiness of web sites (the colored "donuts" at the right of the results).

If they were just scammers, would this be possible?

Cool! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I use F-Secure. F-Secure shows me Symbols like WOT. But just in Google, Bing and Yahoo. So this Add-On helps me very much.
