Current Forecast Not Updating Rated 4 out of 5 stars

One of my favorite add-ons. Thanks for keeping this alive. I have one issue that's popped up lately. The current conditions refuses to update for me. It's constantly showing me the conditions from about a week ago. I installed the latest version from your web page today and still have the problem. I'm on Firefox 8.0. Any help or insight would be appreciated.

You have GOT to update this tool! Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Yes, I know. There are multi-thousands of addons and tools out there. Maybe Firefox can't be responsible for alerting people when an addon will not be compatible with an update to FF.

WHY do so many people shy away from browser updates? THIS is a good place to start. Might Weather Channel bother to send out a notice of some sort? You alert me to storms here, although not always accurate. So, why can't you alert when the addon is about to go dead because Firefox is putting on a huge push to upgrade?

I happen to love this tool. It probably is my most-used Firefox tool. Until 3 days ago when I upgraded to FF 8, and all hell broke loose. Your weather tool is gone from the top main menu bar. And it has taken 3 days to even find this page, to find out what has gone on.

It is obvious that if you are going to CREATE a tool for a browser, that you would stay on top of upcoming browser changes... and UPDATE the thing so it doesn't make people crazy.

You never know when a "freebie customer" will become a "paying customer." Right now? I am SO unimpressed with TWC. Almost as much as with Firefox... with this lousy upgrade that literally rocked my world. If it weren't for the fact that so many sites, from PayPal to my bank all of a sudden informed me on main pages that my browser was out of date and probably a security risk, I would NOT have upgraded to FF8. It's a mess.

When will this tool be updated, TWC??

Leanne in AZ where weather changes by the nano-second.

ps. ONE star becsuse of no update. Otherwise, 5-star

Greatly disappointed Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Horrid. Doesn't work with 8.0. Switched to Accu-weather via Forecastfox. Too bad; I would have preferred to stay with the add-on.

No worky or 8.0 Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Problem with weather updates Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Thank you silverhawk for the Firefox >3.x fix!

One problem i'm having, though, the weather's not updating properly. On one of my computers, it only updates when i restart Firefox. And on another, it hasn't updated since i've installed the fix...

Any suggestions?
Thanks again!

Doesn't work Rated 2 out of 5 stars

The add-on page says it works through FF8, but I get all sorts of error messages in FF7.0.1. Is something wrong with my setup?

Support Not Accessible Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Support Not Accessible.

The link to the "Support site" points to this URL:

It is a generic "contact" page at The Weather Channel. Finding the closest applicable link on the page, "Toolbar," points to this URL:

At that address, one receives a "404" error and a page filled with this:

"Account does not exist

There’s no account for"

Please help! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I upgraded to FF 6 and lost my 1 click weather capability on my Macbook w/Snow Leopard. I tried silverhawk's version, it installed, I see it in my add-ons list, but it doesn't appear in my status bar, even though that's where I set it for in the preferences.

ok, silverhawk, add me to your list of admirers eternally indebted to your techie genius. turns out that the original megaupload link that i downloaded from was a previous update and that the megaupload link immediately below that you posted on 9/3 works with FF 6. thank you so much!!!

une bonne meteo Rated 5 out of 5 stars
