Update Rated 5 out of 5 stars

As people keep asking for updates on this addon (it has been unmaintained by the original author for about one year), I'd like to note that I've been keeping updates of this addon since the beginning of this year as a new project:

Fix available at mozilla.org, works with FF4 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I made my fix available as an addon at mozilla.org. I also solved the problem with FF4.

Suggestions and bug reports are welcome!

What happens exactly when you try to use it on FF4?
I changed 'maxVersion' in the addon description file to '4.0.*', can you reinstall it and test if it works now?
Thanks!

Fixed again Rated 5 out of 5 stars

YouTube made a slight change to the page format again, so my previous fix had to be fixed... :-)

Now it is a "true" addon; you should be able to install it just by opening the link. Since the original author seems to have disappeared, I intend to make this fix available through Mozilla's website soon.

Instructions, as requested Rated 5 out of 5 stars

1. Install the addon, if you don't have it already installed.

2. Find the file 'clickYoutubeDownloader.jar'.

a) On Windows, it will usually be in C:\Documents and Settings\<your-username>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<some-random-string>.default\extensions\YoutubeDownloader@PeterOlayev.com\chrome\ . (Thanks MasterEd000, I don't use Windows so I couldn't check.) Alternatively, you can use Windows' "Find" utility and look for the file.

b) On Linux, it will usually be in /home/<your-username>/.mozilla/firefox/<some-random-string>.default/extensions/YoutubeDownloader@PeterOlayev.com/chrome/ .

3. Replace it with this file: http://inf.ufrgs.br/~vbuaraujo/foo/clickYoutubeDownloader.jar

4. That's it!

@rysss and others:
If the addon's author does not appear, I might make a new addon based on this one and publish it when I have some time. I guess I will do it until January 15 if an official fix is not published. If I do, I will announce it here. Thanks for the feedback!

Temporary fix Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I made a hack to this addon to make it work with the new YouTube page format. It is really a kludge; I hope that the addon's author will fix it in a proper way. This addon is great and I hope it's fixed soon.

Just find the file "clickYoutubeDownloader.jar" and replace it with this one:
