Great, unfortunately not working with FF 55.
Works. Why wouldn't it be default? Should be a setting.
Firefox must have this function in default.
Perfect, and long missed!
PLEASE, just one improvement exists that would improve this: add in long-tap menu an extra entry for "Open in background tab" - you know how it is, people prefer one way for most things, but then sometimes they don't wish to open some specific sites link(s) the other way :^)
I don't get why it takes an add-on to let Fx/Android users switch immediately to new tabs, but thanks loads for answering the prayers of a nation (or at least the wishes of many people). Much appreciated and well-done. Now, if there was a way to hide the box at the bottom of the screen that tells me I've opened a new tab... Best wishes.
No longer verified.
Simplicity always makes for a better user experience. Works exactly like Dolphin Browser default, it should be a Firefox default as well.
What I was looking for
Seems to work great. It would be nice to have an option to either switch the tab automatically, or make the notification "New tab opened" clickable (which would then switch to the new tab).
So convenient :) thanks!
voilà pourquoi je choisis firefox; la communauté!
Just what I wanted. It was so annoying to manually switch to a new tab. This solves the problem.
Makes Firefox Mobile a much better browser!
this makes it so much easier to work with multiple tabs on my android tablet; simply hold down link, open in new tab, look it over and when you're done, click "back" button to close and return to previous tab. Excellent feature, thanks dev.
This helped me immeasurably using FF Beta on the Thunderbolt. After installing the full-screen add-on, it became quite troublesome with the tabs opening in the background. This add-on solves that problem. Thanks to the dev(s), well done.
