I never shop online without it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This add-on has save me a lot of money; I just wish it worked on all sites.
Promises Promises Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This add on does exactly what it claims to do. Over the past year it has saved me a "lot" of money.
Doesn't always pick up the shipping price Rated 2 out of 5 stars
I've had multiple experiences where the price listed by PriceBlink has been more than doubled by shipping costs that PriceBlink failed to account for. If you can't give a final price, it shouldn't be at the top of the list. That should encourage sites to be more cooperative in making shipping easily accessible from the plugin.

Was good prior to last update Rated 3 out of 5 stars
I've used this extension for quite some time and always loved it but the last update has made this thing rather intrusive. Constantly getting a popup that says it's powered by Bing and wants to be my default search engine. I believe it's bogging down my browser also since the last update. Thinking now of removing it, which is a shame since it's actual purpose of price comparison was good on it's own. I blame Bing. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.1.1-signed).
We'd really like to help you get this issue resolved. You should only see that popup one time and never again. So obviously something is not working properly. Do you mind contacting me directly and we can work through getting this issue resolved? My email address is email@example.com. Thanks in advance and we apologize for any hassle this has caused.
Not working as Intended Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Well, like another user I got this to compare prices on newegg but it doesn't work on newegg, I have to go to other sites to get a comparison and its pointless.
This constantly asks me to make it the default search provided which i've answered no many times. I see that this was reported as well and Priceblink responded to the other user on 12/24/13 that this was a bug. After almost a year, this adware is still a bug. I will disable this add on as it serves no point and the constant spam gets my vote for adware.
I can promise you that PriceBlink is not adware. You should only see that popup one time and if you uncheck the offer and click ok you should never see it again. The fact that you're seeing it repeatedly then that's a bug. For some background on this issue we reported this issue to Mozilla over a year ago. It's related to a storage mechanism in Firefox that sometimes gets corrupt and we can no longer read from it. We set a little piece of information in there so we know that you've already been presented with the popup. Mozilla has acknowleged they are aware of the issue, but the reality is it's hard to reproduce. I'd really like to help you get it resolved and you can feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Regarding Newegg....we ran into a problem with our add-on having a conflict with some of the stylesheets on Newegg. This causes the navigation to get messed up and makes the site pretty much unusable. For that reason we've disabled PriceBlink on Newegg until we come up with a fix. A fix is in the works and we'll be submitting to Mozilla soon. Hope that helps give you some background.
Thanks and we're sorry for any inconvenience.
Terrific with a flaw Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Awesome, but it resets my custom persona and forces itself into my toolbar. Can't get rid of the icon. I have to dis/enable to use it or have my FF look the way I want. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.1.1-signed).
No Longer Works on Newegg Rated 3 out of 5 stars
I have gotten some great deals I wouldn't have know about otherwise.
Used to work on Newegg, but now it only REFERS to Newegg from other sites. Forget about it price comparing while actually browsing Newegg, the whole reason I installed it to begin with!
PLEASE FIX THIS!
You're correct. We recently ran into a problem with Newegg that caused their navigation to get messed up. It makes the Newegg site completely unusable. We're working on a fix and will be submitting an update to Mozilla soon. We apologize for any inconvenience.
PriceBlink Rated 1 out of 5 stars
This is malware!!! It installs a toolbar that cuts off 1/2" more from your screen. I do Not recommend this to anyone. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.1.1-signed).
I can promise you that PriceBlink is not Malware. You can always disable PriceBlink on a retailer by clicking the X button in the top right of the toolbar. If you have any suggestions on how we can improve PriceBlink I'd be happy to discuss it with you. You can reach me at email@example.com. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Great add-on! It's always great to see genuine ideas become Firefox add-ons for the benefit of everyone. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.1.1-signed).
Good extension but it's gone bad recently Rated 2 out of 5 stars
I would have given this 4 stars in the past had I gotten around to writing a review. However, recently it's caused so much slowdown that I have disabled it. (I'm guessing that something that should be running in the background isn't--this might be due to changes to Firefox.)
It tries to find a good deal on the item you're looking at. It stupidly tries this even when you're already looking at the best deal. It occasionally gets confused about items and is frequently confused by options on items--use with caution but it's worth having a look at it's offerings.
One reviewer complained that it's messing with referrer links when you follow it's links--of course, they *ARE* referring you to the site!
I hope it's fixed.
Canada too please! Rated 3 out of 5 stars
This app sounds amazing! I live in Canada and I'm mainly house bound AND often bedridden. :( My husband and son do the majority of the shopping and this so would be absolutely amazing for us. It would save time AND money...things we now have much less of due to my inability to help out much anymore. Please include Canada! (I'm going to download this anyway and see what happens) :)This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.1.1-signed).
PriceBlink Toolbar Icon can't be removed in FF29 Rated 3 out of 5 stars
PriceBlink doesn't always find me the best deal, but it finds enough deals to justify using it. However, with Firefox 29 now having removed a toolbar, space for icons is at a premium, and I decided to use the Firefox "Customize" feature for the toolbars to remove the PriceBlink icon, and that seemed to work.... until I reopened Firefox again, and the icon reappeared. As it turns out, the icon can't be removed in Firefox 29. PLEASE tell me this is a bug, and not intentional.... before I have to delete PriceBlink. I would normally rate PriceBlink with 4 stars, but it's a 3 star addon (and gone) if this can't be fixed. VERY annoying. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.1.1-signed).
Hi, thanks for the feedback and that's definitely not our intent. When you remove the PriceBlink icon from your toolbar it should stay gone. We will work on a fix immediately. Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any future support requests and product suggestions: dbaldwin at priceblink
Thanks for your feedback and patience.
Uses link hijacking to submit your purchase via the company's referral links Rated 1 out of 5 stars
The way this company makes money is: Every time you click a link to buy a product recommended by the plugin, the plugin re-writes the link so it includes a referral code for the company that provides the plug-in. This violates the terms of service of most affiliate programs (Amazon in particular):
“You will not cloak, hide, spoof, or otherwise obscure the URL of your site containing Special Links (including by use of a redirecting page) such that we cannot reasonably determine the site from which a customer clicks through such Special Link to the Amazon Site.”
I have reported them to Amazon and I encourage you to do the same.
I'm also pretty sure they're paying people to write reviews for their add-on, because of the suspicious nature of many of the reviews: Many of the reviewers have only one review (for this add-on) and they are cookie cutter reviews.
Effortless Price Tool Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Awesome add-on! Makes finding the best price effortless, and works with all of the sites I shop at.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.1.1-signed). This user has 2 previous reviews of this add-on.

Great add-on and the only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is an annoying tendency for the toolbar icon to put itself in a separate row from the rest of my icons every time I open Firefox. Not a major issue, just annoying. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.1.1-signed).

Finds alternative prices but does not save user settings Rated 3 out of 5 stars
PriceBlink is basically working, but every time I launch Firefox, the extension behaves as if it was just installed for the first time:
Follow the steps below to verify your installation...
PriceBlink is now active
Use PriceBlink as my default search provider
Im really getting tired of having to tell PriceBlink that I do not want it to hijack my Search Bar settings. Also the toolbar button keeps returning at browser launch, even after I removed it. [FF Mac 26.0]
Thanks for reporting this issue. You appear to have stumbled across a bug as it's not our intent to show you the installation page or search offer more than once. You should see this behavior the first time and never again.
I recently helped another user that was using Dropbox to backup his Firefox profile folder. It turns out that this was causing his extensions directly to become read-only. Once this happened PriceBlink was unable to save any information and it triggered the behavior you describe.
I'd like to help you resolve this issue asap. Please feel free to reach out to me directly and we can work through it together. My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org
We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to getting this issue resolved.
No help on Amazon.com Rated 2 out of 5 stars
This review is only about how PriceBlink behaved on Amazon.com. (That was so discouraging that I didn't try it anywhere else.)
During a browsing session on Amazon, PriceBlink showed lower prices for only 6 of about 40 items. The "best price" for all the other items was higher, mostly by $2-3. In one case, PriceBlink showed a best price of $17.28 for an Amazon item priced at $2.98. The 6 items for which PriceBlink did show lower prices were very cheap anyway -- Amazon price $2.50-4.00 -- and PriceBlink's lower price was only a few cents less.
Not a keeper for me.
If I understand you correctly, you're wondering why PriceBlink shows prices that are higher than the price shown on the page you were viewing. If so, that's because you've already found the lowest price on that item.
PriceBlink checks prices from over 11,000 retailers whenever you're shopping. If a lower price is available, it will show you those prices. However, if you've already found the lowest price, PriceBlink confirms that you've found the lowest price, and lets you know where else you can buy the item. This is helpful in the event the product you are viewing is out of stock or you discover additional shipping charges after adding the item to your cart.
If you're disappointed because PriceBlink couldn't find a lower price, please realize that we don't set the prices -- we merely scan all the prices available on a product and let you know who has the lowest price. If you feel like we missed a lower price that we should have reported, please contact us at email@example.com so we can investigate.
