Expect it to, without warning, steal you away from whatever tab you're looking at, to present you with a huge, ad-like changelog.
This is the kind of behaviour that's had family members calling me, afraid they've been hacked and, as a more tech-savvy user who uses multiple devices and Firefox profiles, it presents me with repeated annoyances I can't opt out of.
I've been using this extension since almost day one but now, I am seriously considering uninstalling it and taking my chances.
- by Firefox user 15794528, 8 days agoRated 1 out of 5Annoying pop-up tabs with a desperate plea for attention. Twice in two days. I had to question if https anywhere would use such an annoying tactic. No way to disable. Deleting this annoying, and by some accounts, dangerous add on.
- by RealFreedom88, 8 days agoRated 1 out of 5After the upgrade (update, installation), version 2020.3.16 without user permission establishes an connection with external resourse and download two GIF for extension page. You have no right to do this. In addition to being unsafe in itself, such methods are used to collect covert analytics, user IP, pings etc. Very dirty method. This is despite the fact that you are positioning your extension for privacy and security. You did not even give the user the ability to disable this action in the extension settings. You must be ashamed.
PS: First auto-update rulesets, and now this. You are on thin ice. If you remember, Neo was not a savior, but another means of control.
