4.0.6 fixes all Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Version 4.0.6 in sandbox makes the sun a star :)
EDIT : thanks to the author for a *very* nice add-on. A word more of gratitude to all add-on coders who really participate to the beauty of Firefox.

Problem with 4.0.5 here as well Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Problem occurred when creating a new short-cut. FVD-SD would spin forever, thus no link performed. Even after re-running Firefox, still spinning. Moved back to 4.0.3 and no problem then.
Needs obviously a slight update, no big problem. Remains the best speed dialer IMO (even with its search engine, disabled!)

Imposed search engine is a stain Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I had rated this add-on 5 stars, but after reading user stan cardwell's remark on an imposed search engine I am lowering my rating to 3 stars.
I wasn't aware since I never use add-ons' search engines and consequently had disabled search with FVD-SD, but remains that I am as most if not all users deeply annoyed by any practice that imposes when a choice is the only smart and fair option.
This is just not acceptable, even if the search feature is an option (at least, otherwise I wouldn't have installed the add-on).
FVD Speed Dial, this apart, is most valuable IMO. A pity that a stain, even if minor, sort of damages a very nice cloth.

Simplicity and functionality united Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've never been fond of bloated 'Speed Dials" and would up to now use another basic yet very nice comparable add-on. But "FVD Speed Dial' has convinced me after thorough usage that it would be my choice for now. The main argument here is the 'Groups' which is really enjoyable (fast un-bloated page and fast access to other page-groups). In fact the whole add-on has been well thought, no fancy unnecessary gadgets, though if you wish you can make it a castle :) Very nice, fast : the elegance of simplicity.
P.S. : Firefox about: pages are linkable, and I appreciate that.
