great addon Rated 5 out of 5 stars

good but.. Rated 4 out of 5 stars

it was a good addon until firefox disabled it, claiming it's not signed. no way to contact developer about bugs.

I'm right here, and issues are usually reported in the Github bug-tracker: :-)

As you can see there, nobody reported it for CleanLinks, but I indeed got it for another addon, check

I.e: re-install the extension :-/

Very good Addon Rated 4 out of 5 stars

The Addon works very well.
A lot of good consideration and options are integrated.

Some suggestions:
- URL-Bar colour customization resp. use the colour of Link highlighting
- A FAQ with the expression "syntax" would be useful
- use a text area instead of a text field
- entry in the right click menu [open as unclean link]
(- a little more attention to the design of the panel ;) but to be fair, I no need the panel XD )

:::::: edit :::::::
I think, for the less experienced user and to make the addon more user-friendly, you could give the button/panel more functionality e.g. :
- access to the options
- similar to the "element hiding picker" in Adblocker, it would be great to have an "element link picker".
You choose the part of the Link you want to add to the whitelist scheme or in the section remove from links and the picker add it with the correct syntax in the settings.

Major Bug Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Works great but has major a bug. If I right click on the toolbar icon and display the list I cannot scroll the list of links without Microsoft store from opening up. It's quite annoying.

Great Rated 5 out of 5 stars

However, it keeps working after disabling it using icon.

Event Delegation Mode disables open in new tab Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Hey Diego, Event Delegation Mode disables opening links in a new tab. (Such as links in Twitter posts.) But DOM Traversing mode works correctly.
Also, the toolbar icon's colors are too pale to be able to see whether it's enabled; can't tell a difference between the grayed-out icon when disabled. Make it bright red!

Update for Firefox Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Does not work for Firefox 43.0.4 :(

good extension BUT Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Even when Status=Disabled it still works on some links !

despite the disabled status it will still clean the "subscribe" link ↑↑
so I have to disable the extension completely to stop it ['don't wanna white list those links']

the extension doesn't have an update from a whole year

except those
this is a very good extension

good link cleaner Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Works good, but sometimes, randomly for no reason addon stops working

Does what it says perfectly Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Wonderful, thanks for this. Other search engine redirect-removers stopped working for me at different times, but this one is lightweight and really useful for a plethora of other cases.

Works perfectly! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This addon works much better than alternatives like "Remove Google Tracking"! Thank you very much!

So I must write a review in order to rate the add-on, nothing I can say, this is great add-on!

I found it !! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

few days ago I reported recently my google searches stopped getting highlighted , now I found why, when "Noscript" is on , "Clean link" does not hightlight google search results ...

This user has a previous review of this add-on.

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

the idea is nice, no more wondering where a link will send you.

Don't understand how to use Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Giving it 5 stars even though I really don't understand how it works. Will it catch redirects and obfuscated links out of the box? If not, no idea what to do with this.

Also, can't select any of the options. Nothing happens when I hover the mouse over those or click on any of them.

Maybe the developer or someone here can help.

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Can't open links in new tabs by default. Even when I middle click with my mouse a new tab opens but it doesn't work correctly with tree style tab opening it in a tree style tab.

This user has 2 previous reviews of this add-on.

Clean Links just notifies Firefox when it wants to open a link, I.e. that logic isn't something handled by this add-on, but rather letting Firefox do it. Hence, to me it looks like that is a problem with "Tree style tab", what makes you think it's something of Clean Links? Tree style tab isn't even fully reviewed while this add-on is both fully reviewed and featured :)

It works Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It works! I have three similar addons installed that I can remove now, because none of them work. But this one seems to work flawlessly. I read that Redirect Cleaner was sort of merged into Clean Links, and it was my former favorite, but it stopped working for many redirects. At least it still worked for google, which is the important one.

And because someone asked what the purpose of this is... these constant redirects, from search engines, from forums, from chat rooms, of any links anywhere, are a form of invasive tracking, which I'm always staunchly against. Also, depending on who the redirect is going through, it can cause a noticeable delay in loading the link. Google result links were noticeably faster with Redirect Cleaner, as they also probably are with Clean Links.

Clean Links question Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Hi Diego, I have followed some of the extensions you do and wanted to know the "exact" reason or use for Clean Links? Sounds overly simple but what application is it used best for?

thanks you job
