- by metasmith, 9 days agoRated 1 out of 5Latest update is constantly logging me out regularly -- like once an hour or more -- which it never did before. Why fix what's not broken? I have "Connect with 1Password in the browser" and "Integrate with 1Password app" checked in as usual.
- by fomartelan, 11 days agoRated 1 out of 5I use multiple browsers. I hate having to sign in on ever browser when I have the desktop app. This is the whole reason I've stayed with 1password when my job gives me a free lastpass account.

posted 9 days agoHey,
It sounds like the connection to automatically unlock your extension with the desktop app isn't working as expected.

In order to use 1Password in your browser with a standalone license you will need to install the classic version of 1Password in your browser. Here is the link to install this: https://support.1password.com/cs/1password-classic-extension/.
You might also be interested to know that we’re currently trading in standalone licenses and we are offering generous discounts on 1Password memberships to users who have been using our licensed version of 1Password. Please drop an email to support@1Password if you would like to discuss this.
Thank you :) - by Alex, 20 days agoRated 1 out of 5no touch id support – it's ridiculous that a password manager doesn't support such an important os feature. the manager who pushed for cross platform was wrong

posted 9 days agoHi there,
1Password in the browser integrates directly with your 1Password desktop app and definitely supports Touch ID. Can you start by checking you have it enabled: https://support.1password.com/touch-id-mac/.
Next, give your computer a restart and if you are still having trouble drop an email to support@1password.com where our team will be happy to help :) - by Andreas, 24 days agoRated 1 out of 51Password replaced their well working extension for this. Sad!

Also doesn't support multiple accounts across multiple platforms, i.e: Yahoo,G-mail,Hotmail... syncing is a problem, trying to use the app from multiple devices is a nightmare.

Looking forward to hearing from you :) - by Firefox user 14564543, 2 months agoRated 1 out of 5Requires the desktop app and "Exchange messages with programs other than Firefox". Never use an extension that requires this permission. The extension needs to stand on its own feet. I don't want to run the stupid desktop app constantly on my computer.

posted 2 months agoHey there,
The latest version of 1Password in the browser can run independently without the need to install the desktop app. You can install it from here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/1password-x-password-manager/
If you continue to have trouble please drop an email to support+x@1password.com where our team can further assist. - by Rob Seib, 3 months agoRated 1 out of 5Continuous Sync problems. Extension randomly stops syncing with vault and even uninstalling and reinstalling does not sync it. Upon contacting support, they had me do a whole rigmarole with settings and log out and in, and it started syncing temporarily and then stopped again. Just give us a sync button.
When I log into the extension it opens the web vault and requires me to log into that as well. Sometimes even requires a third login to the desktop app. Requires a log in every time I edit an entry.Developer response

- by pottmi, 3 months agoRated 1 out of 5This extension is for use with a membership but 1password directs people to this extension for use with their desktop app. They have now hidden the extension for use with the desktop app. 1password seems to have turned into some click bait company.

Sorry to hear you’re experiencing issues with the extension. Does the issue persist even after you restart the computer?
If so, please email us all the details to support+x@1password.com and we’ll help you get things up and running again as soon as possible.

posted 5 months agoHi there,
When Firefox is set to run in private browsing mode it completely prevents our extension from being able to write files into Firefox's local storage, which is a requirement in order for the extension to be able to establish your 1Password account and your database in the browser.
You can still open and use private browsing windows manually, which will allow you to enjoy both worlds - you can enjoy a more private and secure browsing session, while still having 1Password operational in your browser 😊
If you have any questions, we’d love to elaborate. Please drop an email to support@1password.com and we’ll be happy to help. - by Firefox user 15815334, 5 months agoRated 1 out of 5Requires me to sign in to my 1Password account separately from the 1Password Windows app I already have on Windows. Also have to sign in again on Edge, etc. Are you kidding me? They can't talk to each other??? And you have to sign in every time you open the browser. Plus the add-on disappears randomly. Epic fail.
