When it works. Does background mean when switching tabs or apps? I am curious how everytime there is an update. It doesn't work. But, the add on hasn't been updated in 2 years? If Firefox isn't maintaining, why is it still considered top rated/featured? What is gained by not promoting and ensuring the safety/promotion of other tools that can perform this action better?

[English version below]

On July 28, 2026, I installed this plugin on the mobile version of Firefox version 153.0 on Android 15, and the background video playback feature works, even in private tabs. I can successfully turn off the screen or switch to another app and continue listening to music, podcasts, vlogs, etc. YouTube Shorts also work this way. The plugin is completely maintenance-free, with no configuration required. I installed it, refreshed the website I was viewing just in case, and it started working as expected.

I read here that this supposedly stopped working some time in 2026 – it works for me, so I can't comment on that.
