- Rated 3 out of 5by Amazon13, 5 years agoIt is requesting updates too often. I do not agree with the newest terms of use and agreements. I do not want a password manager that is Universal across the board. Also I really do not like that the purchase is tied to the email that you register it with. And after you pay for it, it is not transferable to a new email, in the event that you have to change your email account. That is why I am not purchasing the paid version! I have been a paid customer for more than 20 yrs and all of a sudden Roboform changes their rules totally!
Not a good idea for the long time customer... For 20 years, I never even thought about using another Password Manager, Until now! - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 14384260, 5 years ago
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 12471640, 5 years agoWhen it works, it's great. There are too many times when it doesn't work though. Some sites it always claims there are no boxes to fill in. On my iPad it is very difficult to get a password filled in. It takes me to the RoboForm site and then wants to open another instance of the site that needs a password or opens an old site automatically. On one site it always wants to fill in information from a totally different site. I'm finding it very frustrating to use.

Hello.
It seems RoboForm extension is not properly installed in Firefox on your computer.
You may need to reinstall RoboForm in your browser (Firefox) this way:
- Open Firefox, click its menu button at the top-right > Add-ons > Extensions and remove the RoboForm extension (if present).
- Important! Re-launch Firefox again so that it runs with RoboForm removed.
- Install the latest version of RoboForm 8 from https://www.roboform.com/dist/RoboForm-v8-Setup.exe
- Check the "Advanced" option during installation and enable the Firefox box in the Browser Integration window of the installer.
- Open Firefox (if it does not open automatically) after RoboForm finishes installation and click “Add to Firefox” and agree to add the RoboForm extension.
- Make sure that RoboForm is enabled in Firefox Add-ons:
- Open Firefox > Add-ons > Extensions.
- Disable and re-enable RoboForm there, if needed.
- Restart Firefox if needed.
If reinstalling the extension does not help, another way is to return Firefox itself to a "clean" state:
- Open Firefox - Help - Troubleshooting Information
- Click "Refresh Firefox" button to reset Firefox to a clean state.
Be advised that you will have to re-install and re-enable all add-ons you have in Firefox, including RoboForm.

Hello Paul,
Could you please provide us with a screenshot that shows your issue?
As I understand RoboForm lower toolbar is not visible on FireFox launch and you have to re-enable it manually.
You need to enable cookies in Firefox:
Open Firefox > Options > Privacy&Security > History, and either set it to "Remember History" OR set it to "User Custom Settings" and enable " Remember browsing and download history" and “Remember search and form history”.
If the cookies are already enabled and the toolbar will still not attach, try clearing cookies, restart the browser and re-attach the RoboForm toolbar.

Hello, Paul.
You should check if the built in password manager is disabled in Firefox:
open the browser, click the three-dash button at the top-right, go to Options > Privacy & Security, un-check the "Ask to save logins and passwords for websites" box.
If this does not help, please provide a screenshot of what kind of prompt to save a password you see in your screen.
This is how to make a screenshot/screencast: https://help.roboform.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001326491

Click on Start button to open Windows Start Menu.
Then start RoboForm >> Taskbar Icon.
Then click on RoboForm icon in system tray, near system time.
There you will be able to access "Options" menu entry.
If you already downloaded RoboForm 8 installer, there is no need to re-download it, just launch it after removing RoboForm addon from Firefox per Olivia's instructions.
Then follow the rest of instructions.

Hello, Paul.
RoboForm on this computer contains 4 identities. Click the RoboForm, icon on the Windows taskbar > Editor, select the Identities tab - you will see your identities.
RoboForm on any supported computer or mobile device synced with the same RoboForm account will have the same identities and other data. You can check which account is currently synced with on each computer: click RoboForm > Help > About...
You are supposed to sync with your RoboForm account during installation:
Install RoboForm from https://www.roboform.com/download, and sync with your RoboForm online account by entering your email and Master Password during installation
On supported mobile devices you are supposed to look up and install "RoboForm Password Manager" (publisher "Siber Systems Inc") from either Google Play (Android) or App Store (iOS) or follow one of these links:
RoboForm in Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.siber.roboform
RoboForm in App Store: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=331787573&mt=8
Open the app and sync with your existing RoboForm online account by entering your email and Master Password, which will download your logins to the device.
When you open the app and enter the Master Password, you should see your logins and identities.
You wrote (2019/01/10 04:10 pm EDT)
But that data in the identities is saved right?
What's "sync RoboForm with your current online account walkerpbus@gmail.com"
Can computer sync with cellphone in this case?
Ewan replied (2019/01/10 03:36 pm EDT)
Thank you for your message.
Options cannot be transfered to a new computer. You can transfer only your data.
To use the same data on a new computer, you will need to sync RoboForm with your current online account walkerpbus@gmail.com

Hello, Paul.
On this computer (named "STEPHEN-HELEN") RoboForm is installed in the non-sync mode for some reason, so your data has not been synchronized to this computer.
Be sure to reinstall the latest version from https://www.roboform.com/download
Choose to sync with an existing account and enter your email and Master Password during installation
After that the RoboForm icon should appear in the lower-right corner of the screen (https://www.roboform.com/manual#taskbarIcon) and in your browser (in the upper-right corner)

Hello Paul.
If RoboForm fails to fill in the fields on some particular website, try to resave the login:
- Go to the website's main sign-in page, fill the forms manually or copy/paste from your existing login file;
- Click Login/Submit button located at the webpage while holding ALT on your keyboard;
- This will force AutoSave and RoboForm will recognize the new webpage layout.
- Overwrite the existing login.
If you still get any error messages, please attach a screenshot of the error message to the ticket.

Paul.
If you click the RoboForm icon on the Windows taskbar and go to Options > Browserse, you should be able to initiate installation of the RoboForm extension into any browser RoboForm detected on this computer (see scvreenshot). If Firefox is not an option there, it means that RoboForm was unable to detect it where expected. So you can open Firefox and add RoboForm from its own extensions gallery - RoboForm should integrate with the browser after that.

Please open Firefox, click its menu button at the top-right > Add-ons > Extensions, try to disable and re-enable RoboForm there (if it is present)
If RoboForm could not detect Firefox during installation on your computer for some reason and/or the RoboForm extension is not visible in Firefox > Addons > Extensions,
please open Firefox, and go to this page: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/roboform/

Hello, thanks for your message.
Firefox restricts extensions at support.mozilla.org so RoboForm will fail to handle the login form on the page in Firefox.
This is not a RoboForm issue, this is the way Firefox goes, so it cannot be fixed in RoboForm, sorry.
However, you can allow RoboForm at the page if you exclude support.mozilla.org from the list of restricted domains in
your Firefox config that Firefox team does not recommend to do.
Thanks for using RoboForm.

Hi Paul,
Thank you for your message.
I understand that you are having problems with using an existing login.
The most likely reason is that the login page may have changed;
therefore, making your existing login invalid.
The following instructions will help you re-save your login file for this website:
- Navigate to RoboForm - Options - AutoSave and make sure that the settings:
"ALT+Click of Login button forces AutoSave" and "SHIFT+ENTER in text field forces AutoSave" are enabled
- Go to the website's login page, fill the forms manually or from your existing login file
- Click Login/Submit button while holding ALT OR hold Shift and hit Enter on the keyboard
- This will force AutoSave and RoboForm will memorize the new position of the Login/Submit button
* Please Note: You can use the described method whenever you need to force an AutoSave to re-save a login.

Hello, Paul.
1. Regarding this Support System.
Earlier (a couple of months ago) the RoboForm Support System required you to enter your email address and a separate password you set for it, in order to see your tickets. Moreover, the password was optional at that time, so you could use only your email address.
We changed the way users log in here and tied RFSS to users' RoboForm accounts, so the users do not need the separate password any longer - they just need to enter the email they used to create their RoboForm online accounts for data synchronization and the Master Password they set in RoboForm.
2. RoboForm icon in Firefox.
You might have simply removed it from the upper toolbar in Firefox.
So you can click its three-dash menu button at the top-right, select "Customize"
You will see a list of items to be placed on the upper toolbar in Firefox. RoboForm will be among of them, with a label "Click this button to show RoboForm commands"
Drag that item back to the upper toolbar and click "Done" in the lower-right corner.
3. Screenshots / screencasts.
We may need to see what you see in your screen in order to understand your situation better.
So you can use the Windows Problem Steps Recorder: cclick RoboForm (taskbar icon) > Help > Problem Steps Recorder.
If something goes wrong, you can run Windows Problem Steps Recorder directly: click Start, start typing "psr.exe" in the search box and click psr.exe on top of the search result list.
The recording tool will make screenshots for each mouse click and allow you to add comments to them.
When done with recording, click Stop Recording before you close the recording tool window.
RoboForm will offer you to open your ticket to attach the recorded file to your reply.
If it does not, when done with the recording, click "Stop Recording" for the tool to save your recorded file on the disk. Then open your ticket in any browser, select "Choose File" and select the file that was created by Steps Recorder utility to attach it to your message.
If you cannot use the Windows Step Recorder for some reason, you can use the free screencast service to record a video-capture of your screen: http://www.screencast-o-matic.com/

More: had to reinstate lower bar to fill out a page just now: thought I didn't have to plus: where's that little icon in the Firefox bar that was before?
Thank you for your recent reply, Ewan:
Don't understand this: "First of all, support account never required only password to log in. You could log in using only email address or create a password and then enter both email and password to log in.Support account is now tied to RoboForm Everywhere online account, so it is using the same login credentials"?
How could I do this "Could you please record a screencast (video) showing the actions that you take to reinstall RoboForm extension in Firefox? To record a screencast, you can run any free online service you can find with searching for 'screencast' on the web.For instance, the free service at http://www.screencast-o-matic.com/ can help." when it is done already?

Please reinstall RoboForm 8 into Firefox this way:
- Open Firefox, click its menu button > Add-ons > Extensions and remove the RoboForm extension.
- Important! Re-launch Firefox again so that it runs with RoboForm removed.
- Reinstall the latest RoboForm 8 version from https://www.roboform.com/dist/RoboForm-v8-Setup.exe and be sure to check the Firefox box in the Browser Integration window of the installer.
- Open Firefox (if it does not open automatically) after RoboForm finishes installation and agree to install the RoboForm extension.
Open Firefox - Help - Troubleshooting Information
Click "Refresh Firefox" button to reset Firefox to a clean state.
Be advised that you will have to re-enable or re-install the add-ons you have in Firefox, including RoboForm.

If not at the bottom, where is it? In FF RF had a little symbol to the right of the middle search bar with a bunch of other symbols that are still there

Hello Paul,
It is not necessary to enable RoboForm toolbar on FireFox.
Please describe the issue in detail.
Provide us with full URL of the web page, we need to test it.

Hello, Paul.
Access to this RoboForm Support System is now only allowed via users' RoboForm online accounts. So you need only your email and Master Password to a) sync RoboForm on any computer . b) license the RoboForm application on any computer c) access your RoboForm online account d) access this support system.
This was done because many people used to be confused by the need to remember User IDs, Order IDs, emails and different Passwords.
Now you only need your email and Master Password set in RoboForm.

Thanks for your prompt reply, Ma'am. & I ;like the results: because it means that RF will quit showing up in Thunderbird even though the options are set to keep it out but I noted with disfavor that the new installation closed Firefox so abruptly that it's tabs were destroyed, sort of like a Ctrl-alt-delete would close it. Please tell the installation people to close Firefox with a normal close,
OK?

Thank you for your message.
In Firefox you can use either the upper pop-up RoboForm toolbar, next to the address bar in Firefox, or the optional lower toolbar.
Please let us know if you have any issues with RoboForm in Firefox.

Hello,
Please turn Email OTP option ON for your RoboForm Everywhere account https://online.roboform.com/login
Then enroll the devices you use with the account to stop getting messages about the attempts from unauthorized devices.
OTP feature ensures that only the computers and devices that you enroll with a One Time Password sent to you can access your Everywhere account.
Read more about the feature here: https://help.roboform.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005043767-How-to-enable-One-Time-Password-OTP-

Uninstaled and reinstalled and still does not work in Edge Browser. I have a lifetime license and have been using RF for 15 years. Good years ago. Marginal performance today. Will research other software to see if they perform better.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 14668690, 6 years agoI have used roboform for years but it has got harder and harder to use. For ages it pestered me all the time placing intrusive requests on screen, now it saves nothing, andasks nothing, but it will fill in forms if I ask nicely, but the data is old because it does not update I am hoping I can just let it go and rely on the browser password manager, or that someone at roboform does some usability tests using the ease of the browser manager as a benchmark
