The short version of the story is that someone opposed to burning cats made a reply to some ones comment that "Not Even Doom Music" justified a 5 star vote on the video. Then someone went around posting "NEDM" on many other videos on YTMND. Once to source of this strange commenting was realized people began making videos based mainly around the theme of a cat (Russian cat food cat 'happy cat') getting even with those who committed animal cruelty.
