Firefox Multi-Account Containers by Firefox

by PlaneCrazy1999, a year agoOne of the coolest things ever and I never would have thought of it. I'm no programmer but after needing to re-login to everything once I assigned containers, my observation is each container is essentially a separate instance of the browser, each container with its own set of cookies. This is a genius way to split up cookies based on how sensitive the info is, and it somehow manages to run as if I didn't install an addon that does multi-process instances in one window. I've been using Firefox ever since I started to understand cybersecurity from wiki dives and debit card fraud in high school and would just like to say this is probably the most customizable, resource-efficient/multithreaded/fast and private browser there is. That's why I have my beta studies turned on now; I want to contribute. Thank you and keep up the great work over there!

1. When I switch containers, it always opens a new tab instead of focusing on the first existing one or doing something similar. Except, of course, if that container doesn't have any open tabs yet.
2. There is no option in the settings to display only the tabs of the selected container—meaning to hide the tabs of the others.
It is precisely because of these issues that I still use the Conex extension. My only problem with it is that it automatically sorts the containers in alphabetical order, even though that's exactly what I don't want. The old Tab Groups extension was able to do this, but unfortunately, the author didn't update it, so it became unusable.
Because of these exact reasons, I am giving it only 1 star! - Rated 5 out of 5by Timofey Kochetkov, 6 days ago

I'm not a big fan of the new colours though as some colours look very similar now (blue/green, pink/red, red/orange, pink/purple). I often have tabs open in up to six colours at work and they had helped me find the right tab immediately but since the latest update they're harder to differentiate than before.

- Rated 5 out of 5by jasoncollege24, a month agoThis add-on makes it easy to separate things like banking, social media, work, and many other categories into completely separate sub-sessions. Each session uses it's own cookies, including separate logins (eg a banking container could just be used to login to and use online banking, while a social media container could be logged into sites like Face Book, or Instagram) Good stuff!
