- by JC, 18 days agoRated 5 out of 5Amazing extension, very straightforward to use. coupled with duck duck go and their privacy extension i always know what each site is up to. some websites hiccup, or deny access, mostly when trying to access account information or using credit cards. so far this has been very minor, and only on websites that i trust (like my bank) must have for anyone who enjoys peace of mind online.

posted 2 months agoUsually you install the addon, select a preset that matches your needs and you are good to go.
Please open an issue at https://github.com/kkapsner/CanvasBlocker/issues with a description of what you want instructions for. There we can communicate better and you can follow the progress on the subject. - by Firefox user 16469568, 2 months agoRated 5 out of 5Awesome. Works great. Thanks for the privacy policy that actually allows for... privacy!
- by WISEGUY, 2 months agoRated 1 out of 5I downloaded this and it really blocked most of my sites and make a lot of other Firefox Icons stop working. I uninstalled it and everything is fine. My friend had the same thing happen. We both use the newest Firefox and windows 10. Thanks anyway but we will stay away from this add-on..

posted 2 months agoI'm not sure what you exactly mean by "a lot of other Firefox Icons stop working" but it sounds like something I should look into. Please open an issue at https://github.com/kkapsner/CanvasBlocker/issues with your specific problem and your settings.
The blocking of sites is often something that can be addressed by settings. You can also open an issue for that and I can look what your sites need to work properly. - by somnitek, 2 months agoRated 5 out of 5

- by Smitsars, 3 months agoRated 5 out of 5really helped my online activities. its unimaginable how much the third party tracker want to track you. literally like "this is the user screen, right now. I want to know."

- by Firefox user 15236507, 4 months agoRated 5 out of 5Thanks for providing such a good add-on, which has been a great help to my life. Recently, firefox mobile version of a major update, many add-ons are no longer applicable, and your plug-in is my daily life is necessary, I beg you to adapt to the latest mobile version of the framework as soon as possible.

posted 4 months agoUnfortunately there is nothing I can do about that. Mozilla dropped add-on support in Fenix except for some hand picked ones. CanvasBlocker is not part of that list (it is not "recommended" by Mozilla).
It's up to Mozilla to decide on add-ons in Fenix: https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2020/09/02/update-on-extension-support-in-the-new-firefox-for-android/ - by Kovu, 4 months agoRated 5 out of 5

- by Firefox user 16277808, 5 months agoRated 5 out of 5Great lightweight extension that can help protect your privacy by giving randomised readouts when websites try to fingerprint you. Best used in conjuction with other privacy tweaks such as blocking third party cookies, and using an ad/tracker blocker like uBlock Origin.
- by Tibs, 5 months agoRated 4 out of 5A good add-on with tons of settings, and information regarding them. Not a fan of the UI, though. The add-on window, only shows 5 options, and one search bar. I would like to see this expanded with more options relating to what's being blocked/altered (or is not), whitelisting, and so on. The main add-on Settings page also looks ugly, but at least it's functional.
Overall, I would suggest this add-on to others. I found it does a better job than competition, which considering how much there is, is pretty impressive.Developer response
