- Rated 1 out of 5by edenflare, 4 hours agoDoesn't have a convert filetype on double click to say set default to .png, and also skips a double click so no spamming. Kinda useless these days.
Edit update-
Your toilet analogy isnt the same thing when it comes to image downloading, you need to think outside of the box, if I can double click and download images, why not have it also convert, to make my addon superior than the rest? Or even better why not download all images or mp4's on a webpage with one click? And be even more superior have everyone rate you 5 stars then you will likely get more people buying you a coffee instead of just being a basic double click image with a mandatory file type.
I wish you well and if you did implement this instant 5 stars I'll check back every year or so ready to put it upto 5 stars.Developer response
posted 3 hours agoIt's an image downloader, not a converter. Do you give your dishwasher 1 star ratings just for not being a toilet too? This isn't how reviews work. I'm not sure what you mean with the skipping/spamming part unfortunately, but this addon is no longer being updated anyway.
Update: that's neither how software works (feature slop and scope creep) nor how ratings work. I get that you'd like conversion too but it's simply not a goal for this addon. Reviews are primarily meant to tell other users how well an addon does what it promises to do, not to solely make random demands. 1 star nornally means the entire addon is unfinished garbage full of bugs and bad results. If an addon works fine but you just wish it had some extra bells and whistles, that's more reasonably 4 or maybe 3. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 19244078, a month agoAmazing add on..i recommend this to all...can download so many videos on various sites.

posted 2 years agoAs mentioned many times before (I should add this to the FAQ part), it depends on the website, this observation is not global. Many servers provide filename extensions one way or another, but e.g. twitter doesn't in any way (because websites don't need to) and my addon can't just take a wild guess as it. There will be an extension if the extension is communicated by the server as per standards. What a blown-out-of-proportion thing to give a permanent 1 star for anyway, as if that's all there is to it and as if it's any addon's fault a server decides not to expose extensions. Stupid "reviews" - more like baseless whines - like this are why I'm done developing for the public anyway.- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18347152, 2 years ago

posted a year agoSorry, they probably detect hotlinking (i.e. direct downloading) specifically to stop addons like this. Thank you for giving a reasonable rating to a functioning product, unlike all the petulant reviewers that go straight to 1 star for the silliest reasons as if it's a completely defective piece of junk. - Rated 5 out of 5by diego.ar, 2 years ago

posted 2 years agoSome websites do things to stop addons like this from working, and I can't change that. But the addon definitely works on sites that don't take such countermeasures. I use it myself in the latest firefox, as do many other happy reviewers. Don't use reviews for misplaced and false bug reports, they belong in an email with proper information like which site you're trying to use it on. Simply writing "doesn't work" is an utter waste of everyone's time and blatantly wrong.- Rated 1 out of 5by ragernothingworks, 2 years agoIt just does not work, you can click all you like, it won't download on Firefox.

posted 2 years agoSorry but I'm using firefox and this addon myself, and it definitely works, as it does for other people too. There are some sites that do things that prevent addons like this from working (e.g. clickable overlays on images), you may be trying to use it on such a site. Fair enough it doesn't work then but that's no basis to say this addon never works. Please use reviews only for serious, well prepared review content. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17999994, 2 years agoamazing does exactly what it says the hover button works best for my use case!
