If I close a titled window, all the others lose their titles.
close and restart the browser is hit and miss.
Maybe this is due to the huge amount of add-ons I have (active: 75), but none deals with windows titles. or maybe because I reverted (smooth operation)to FF 115 ESR when I got v121 of the normal release.
TabSessionManager used to record and restore the titles perfectly, but then the restore part started messing up, so I started backing up with TSM and restoring with the windows setting General ->Startup->Restore Windows. This also has stopped working: titles are not reloaded. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14952072, 9 months ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18218893, 9 months agoUsing for KDE Window Rules. I need to differentiate between various FF windows to handle them differently. Setting the window title makes it possible as otherwise all FF windows have the same window class/role/type/everything.
The only drawback is that the title is not set immediately when the window is created, but only several milliseconds later. Causing flickering. - Rated 5 out of 5by uha8, a year agoWorks well for me so far. Even remembers titles between sessions. Update: titles do disappear once every 2-7 days or so, from all windows at once, but they're remembered when opening the plugin, so you just gotta open it and press enter for each previously named window, when that happens.
Also, i love that these features are included:
Customizable keyboard shortcut, customizable brackets around the title and option for auto title prefix. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17364957, a year agoWorks well. It'd be nice if the custom titles showed up in the History > Recently Closed Windows menu, but perhaps that's a limitation of Firefox?

作業目的ごとにウィンドウを作る使い方をする中で、開いているタブによってはウィンドウの役割が分かりにくい悩みがありましたが、解消されました。 - Rated 5 out of 5by cyricc, 2 years agoDoes exactly what it says. Love that it persists through session restore. Perfect little addon

Note on MacOS (don't know about Windows) that the named windows are alpha sorted when viewed by the Firefox Dock icon, but in creation order in the Firefox Window menu item. I actually like the two different views.
This extension allowed me to move from Chrome. - Rated 5 out of 5by tarets, 2 years ago
