- Rated 5 out of 5by mrgear, 3 years agoPress F to pay respects. This was the best solution I've ever found, it blocked ads, avoided twitch's stupid algorithm that reduced quality/stopped player when not on the tab and abusive RAM consume by Twitch.tv it self. I hope somehow developer can find a way to bring it back even if it backs without the adblocker feature. Alexander today, Alexander tomorow, Alexander Forever <3
- Rated 5 out of 5by Phoenix-y, 3 years agoTwitch is relentless in its war against adblockers. This is a Twitch-being-Amazon thing and not an add-on issue. Adblocker developers have their work cut out for them since they're combating Amazon for their own relevancy. This add on is great and hopefully they update it soon.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16597289, 3 years agoWorked great ever since I first downloaded it, none of the freezing or lagging problems I had with the default player. Looks like Twitch disabled it somehow, hope it's back up soon.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Smooth, 3 years agoAlternate Player for Twitch.tv is the best way to make twitch.tv bearable. The UI is better and cleaner, the controls/settings for buffering are better, ads are blocked, 100 trackers are not loaded. Its extremely useful extension and i cant recommend it enough.
- Rated 5 out of 5by alcojaguar, 3 years agoExcellent add-on, has worked flawlessly since I've gotten it. However, I can confirm that twitch seems to have updated something to make this add-on stop functioning for now. I look forward to an update, I pretty much can no longer watch Twitch without this.
Thank you again for the great add-on! - Rated 5 out of 5by KURIS, 3 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by beebec233, 3 years agowas working fantastically until recently. now get an error on every channel on Twitch.
- Rated 5 out of 5by GruziiC, 3 years agoWhat i have noticed ADD-ON works flawlessly during like 7:00 - 20:00 GMT timezone ,but after something changes and "Channel with the specified name does not exist. Perhaps you typed the wrong address" is showing no matter what channel you try to watch !!! Someone at TWITCH is clearly targeting and screwing up this awesome add-on,bless the Alexander Choporov to work around this harasment 🙏
- Rated 5 out of 5by Nezumi, 3 years agoToday my Twitch was just stopping all the time, buffering, driving me nuts because connection seems solid otherwise. I have it a shot and it basically solved all the problems just like that. Before it was buffering at 720p and now I could watch it smoothly at 1080p. I dont know how it is achieved, but it does work. Plus addons UI looks really nice! Fantastic job on that one!

- Rated 5 out of 5by mikeyaworski, 3 years agoRidiculous how people are leaving 1-2 star reviews because the app needs an update for a fix. The definition of "choosing beggars". It will be fixed shortly.
Anyway, this extension is amazing. If you leave or have left a bad review because it needs an update, at least remember to come back and change your review when it does get fixed. - Rated 5 out of 5by Denial, 3 years agoApp is currently not working, but 99% of the time it does and it works great! people who are voting low stars clearly don't know how to actually submit an issue to the developer.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16591398, 3 years agoVery nice extension but twitch probably changed something so that it no longer works at the moment. Hopefully it is possible to fix this.
A Few Moments Later: It works again :-) - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14125814, 3 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 16589313, 3 years agoOnly thing that works to block all ads and purple screens on twitch right now. The volume is quieter than the default player for some reason, and the latency is a bit worse, but it's a small price to pay.
EDIT: Of course it stops working the day after I send this review. I assume twitch changed something but this extension is broken for me right now.
EDIT 2: Working again 2021/01/25. - Rated 5 out of 5by Antonio, 3 years agoThis add-on is a life saver! i have a 10mbit connection that is not constant in download.
With this addon i can increase the buffer specifying the goodness of the connection and stream never stop.
Thanks devs! i <3 you - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13239242, 3 years agoGreat player with a lot of thought put into it, but one star ding for lack of pop-out video support via Firefox picture-in-picture. ( https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/about-picture-picture-firefox )
UPDATE: It seems raiding doesn't function correctly, when the twitch channel raids another channel it doesn't swap to that channel's video feed when the first one stops broadcasting. The chat does swap, however. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16551374, 3 years agoAwesome add-on. Way more convenient then streamlink and streamlink twitch gui.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Zacharie, 3 years agoTwitch showing splash screens because apparently Jeff Bezos is going broke and really needs the ad revenue from Twitch Affiliates who don't even get a piece of the ad money anyway. Nothing like modding a channel that gets interrupted every ten minutes because twitch wants to have a QQ fest about using ad and tracker blockers.
also confirming to get addon to work again, all you need to do is remove the add on and re-add it. - Rated 5 out of 5by Linkitch, 3 years agoWith the new way twitch monitors ads, I would really love an option to simply mute ads instead of blocking them completely. That way ads wouldn't get flagged as not being delivered and playing again after 10min.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 12809733, 3 years agoCould use a way to only replace the player, not the whole tab's content.
