- Rated 1 out of 5by Esteban, 4 years agoIt used to be good, now the "stored in a folder" thing made it a joke. I don't need an app to do that, it's just ridiculous.
Seriously, this is plain stupid, I hope an alternative pops up soon.Developer response
posted 4 years agoI think there might be a misunderstanding... Tabs Aside has always stored the tabs that you set aside in a bookmark folder, there has never ever been a version that did not do this. I think this approach makes sense since the user has full control over the data. There are however other (similar) extensions that do not use bookmarks for storage. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14754546, 5 years agoThis add-on promises to do what I really need. I am not sure it really does so.
I use Waterfox and I usually keep 20-40 tabs open at the same time.
Unfortunately, as soon as I have installed it and tried to move aside one tab, it has moved all 40 tabs that were open and active.
Restoring the tabs made the 40 tabs reopening, all with a blank page showing the text message "This page should be replaced with the website automatically so unfortunately something must have gone wrong."
Each page had to be reloaded manually. Also re-login in those pages the add-on had logged me out was necessary.
I have disabled the add-on, but would resume using it should this issue be fixed and moving aside/restoring one page at a time (with automatic reloading of the web page) be possible.

The day after, I have tried a second time: even worse. This time, after reopening the tabs, the manual reload didn't work at all. And the string in the address bar was non "readable" and therefore the exact web page couldn't be reached in any way, even by re-typing the url. Bad, really bad!Developer response
posted 5 years agoSorry to hear that. With the next version (v3) the extension will use Firefox native lazy loading of tabs so that blank page should not show up anymore. You can set aside single tabs via the tab context menu (right click on the tab), this will also be improved in v3. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13497511, 6 years agoAddon description is inaccurate e this isn't really a tab management add on and more like a session manger. A very poor session manger. I tired to restore a session and it attempted to reload a 150 tabs slowing my computer to crawl. Which caused me to hard reset my system. When I rebooted all my tabs were gone. Stay away.

posted 6 years agoI found a way to prevent this using a technique similar to the extension LoadTabOnSelect.
This will be come to Tabs Aside v1.17 or 1.18
