RunAway is an English-first dictionary extension designed for uninterrupted web reading.
Select or double-click one English word on an ordinary web page. RunAway opens a compact tooltip near the selection and shows an English definition first. If the dictionary entry includes them, you can then reveal an example and a Chinese translation. Immersive mode hides Chinese so you can remain in an English reading context.

RunAway processes only a word that you actively select. For a valid lookup, it sends the normalized word to the experimental FreeDictionaryAPI service. It does not send the page URL, title, full sentence or surrounding text. The enabled and immersive-mode settings stay in browser local storage.

- Desktop Microsoft Edge and Firefox only.
- Single English words only; no phrases, names, PDFs, OCR, video-image subtitles or editable fields.
- Definition, example and Chinese coverage varies with the underlying Wiktionary data.
- FreeDictionaryAPI is an experimental preview provider and has no RunAway production SLA.
