About this extension
Queue YouTube Tabs turns the habit of piling up "watch later" videos as browser tabs into a single tab with a queue.
Click the toolbar button and the extension:
1. Collects the YouTube watch tabs (youtube.com/watch?v=...) open in the current window, in tab order, removing duplicates.
2. Builds a YouTube temporary playlist and loads it into one existing tab (it reuses the active YouTube tab, otherwise the left-most / right-most collected tab).
3. Closes the other collected tabs.
Tabs already playing inside a playlist (list= in the URL) and /playlist pages are skipped. Scope is the current window only. Because of URL-length limits, it handles roughly 50 videos at a time.
How it works: it navigates to youtube.com/watch_videos?video_ids=..., a YouTube feature that generates a temporary playlist. No login and no API key are required. This relies on YouTube behavior that may change in the future.
Privacy: the extension only reads tab URLs in the current window to find YouTube videos, and updates/closes those tabs. It does not collect, store, or transmit any data, and contains no analytics or remote code.
