About this extension

NoteStamp helps you capture ideas while watching YouTube by attaching notes to exact video timestamps.

What you can do:

Capture the current timestamp with one click
Use Live mode to keep timestamp in sync while the video plays
Add notes and keep them sorted by time
Click any saved timestamp to jump back to that moment
Delete individual notes or clear notes for the current video
View history of videos with saved notes
Export notes for a video as a .txt file

How it works:

Notes are saved per YouTube video URL
Saved notes auto-load when you reopen the popup on that video
Works only on YouTube watch pages (https://www.youtube.com/watch*)

Privacy:

Notes are stored locally in your browser (storage)
No account required and no external sync service used

Permissions used:

storage: save notes locally
activeTab, tabs, scripting: read video time/title and control seeking
Host permission for https://www.youtube.com/*: run only on YouTube pages
