- Rated 2 out of 5by Tmbrndhfr, 2 years agoDoesn't work with most movies (especially with recently added and newer ones) and some series. The resolution remains at 540p in this cases. Although the quality in the Netflix app jumps directly to 1080p in the cases described without any problems.
With old material it works basically fine. - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 16202375, 3 years agodoes not leave it in 1080p, although netflix shows that it is showing in this quality, when you compare with the edge and the application for windows the quality is much higher, an example is that in firefox with this extension the shadows remain pixelated.
Developer response
posted 3 years agoThe extension does allow for 1080p whenever Netflix allows it. If Netflix says it's 1080p, it's 1080p. Everything else, including available title formats and bitrates are, of course, up to Netflix itself. The extension facilitates your access to 1080p, 5.1 surround sound, the bitrate selection menu, and the ability to turn off VP9 if you'd like. The extension is *not* pretending to be Edge, and does *not* circumvent DRM. If you have any actionable complaints, or information about something the extension is doing wrong, or could do better, please feel free to file an Issue report. I'm happy for any contributions.
