About this extension
KnoxLink - Steam Workshop to KnoxKit Connector

KnoxLink is a browser extension that helps Project Zomboid players easily import mods from Steam Workshop directly to KnoxKit - a powerful instance and mod manager for Project Zomboid.

WHAT KNOXLINK DOES

KnoxLink adds a convenient "Import with KnoxKit" button to Steam Workshop pages for Project Zomboid mods. With a single click, you can send mod information directly to KnoxKit, making mod management faster and easier than ever.

The extension works by:
- Adding an import button underneath the regular Steam "Subscribe" button
- Only appearing on Project Zomboid mod pages (not other games)
- Using a secure custom protocol to communicate with KnoxKit
- Supporting both individual mods and mod collections

WHY INSTALL KNOXLINK?

If you use KnoxKit to manage your Project Zomboid game instances and mods, KnoxLink will save you significant time and effort. Instead of:
1. Finding a mod on Steam Workshop
2. Copying the mod ID or URL
3. Opening KnoxKit
4. Navigating to the mod section
5. Pasting the information and importing

You can now simply click one button and have KnoxKit handle everything automatically!

FEATURES
  • One-click mod importing from Steam Workshop to KnoxKit
  • Seamless integration between your browser and KnoxKit application
  • Project Zomboid-specific functionality (only appears on relevant pages)
  • Multi-language support (English and Spanish)
  • Lightweight with minimal resource usage
  • Clean, non-intrusive UI that matches the Steam Workshop style

HOW TO USE
  1. Install KnoxKit from https://github.com/valentin-marquez/KnoxKit
  2. Install this KnoxLink extension
  3. Visit any Project Zomboid mod page on Steam Workshop
  4. Look for the "Import with KnoxKit" button below the Subscribe button
  5. Click the button to send the mod to KnoxKit

Note: The first time you click the button, your browser will ask permission to open the custom KnoxKit protocol. After allowing this, click the button again to complete the import.

IMPORTANT NOTES
  • KnoxLink only works with KnoxKit application installed on your computer
  • The extension only appears on Project Zomboid mod pages
  • KnoxLink is not affiliated with Valve Corporation, The Indie Stone, or Project Zomboid
