About this extension
Input Suggestions Extension is a browser add-on that provides AI-powered writing suggestions inside any text input field across the web. It works on standard and complex sites—including ChatGPT, LinkedIn, email clients, forums, and productivity tools—by detecting text fields (including those inside shadow DOMs) and showing a suggestion badge when you focus on an input. You describe your goal in plain language (e.g., “Make this post more professional and concise”), and the AI returns rewritten suggestions that you can apply with one click.

IMPORTANT — AUTHENTICATION REQUIREMENT: This extension requires OAuth 2.0 sign-in to function. You must create an account and log in through our secure authentication flow before you can use the AI suggestion service. Without signing in, the extension will not provide suggestions. No additional software installation is required beyond the extension itself; authentication is handled via a standard web-based OAuth 2.0 login page.

Key Features:
- Universal input detection: Identifies text inputs, textareas, and contenteditable elements, including inside shadow DOMs and modern frameworks (e.g., React, Angular).
- Prompt-based AI suggestions: Describe your goal (e.g., “shorter”, “more professional”, “friendlier”); the AI suggests improved rewrites tailored to that goal.
- Context-aware: Uses surrounding text, page context, and input purpose to improve suggestion quality.
- Secure OAuth 2.0 authentication: Sign-in via our auth server; tokens stored securely in the extension with automatic refresh on expiry.
- Non-intrusive UI: Suggestion badge (“Ctrl+K” or “⌘K for suggestion”), prompt dialog, and suggestion list that appear near the focused input.
- Works across sites: Designed to work on protected and complex pages, including ChatGPT and LinkedIn.
- One-click apply: Choose a suggestion and it replaces your text in place.

How It Works:
1. Install the extension and sign in when prompted (OAuth 2.0 login is required).
2. Visit any website and focus a text input. A “Ctrl+K for suggestion” badge appears.
3. Click the badge or press Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux) / ⌘K (Mac) to open the prompt dialog.
4. Enter your goal (e.g., “Make this post best in the world and concise, at least 256 characters”).
5. The extension sends your text, goal, and context securely to the AI server and displays suggestions.
6. Click a suggestion to apply it to your input. If not logged in or your session has expired, you will be prompted to sign in again.

Privacy: This extension collects only the authentication tokens and the text you type (along with minimal context) needed for AI suggestions. Data is handled securely; no unnecessary data is collected.
