About this extension
Code review is a turn-based game. At any moment, someone should be taking the next action — but GitHub doesn't tell you who.
GitHub Attention Set fixes this. Inspired by Google's Critique tool, it tracks whose turn it is on every PR you're involved in, so you know exactly what needs your attention and what doesn't.
How it works:
• Reviewer submits a review → Author's turn
• Author re-requests review → Reviewer's turn
• Someone @mentions you → Your turn
• You take action → You leave the attention set
The extension uses smart debouncing for single comments (configurable, default 10 min) so you're not pinged
mid-review.
Features:
• Badge shows how many PRs need your attention right now
• Popup organized by status: Needs Attention vs Waiting on Others
• Optional grouping by repository
• Dismiss PRs you want to ignore (auto-restores on new activity)
• Relative timestamps (2h ago, 3d ago)
• Repository filter (show only / hide specific repos)
• Dark mode support
• Bots and orgs automatically filtered out
Privacy:
• Your GitHub token stays on-device only (never synced to Google)
• All API communication over HTTPS
• Zero tracking, zero analytics, zero third-party data sharing
• Open source: github.com/justinchuby/github-attention-set
Setup:
Create a fine-grained Personal Access Token at github.com/settings/personal-access-tokens/new
Grant: Pull requests → Read, Issues → Read
