The extension changes the clipboard to a markdown hyperlink: cite ----[extension]-----> `> cite [file](localhost:8000/..file.pdf )` It is build to enable a smooth workflow when copying cites from local pdf to .md files viewed in a local hedgedocs:)

About this extension
Attention: When installed it may append too much to the clipboard as every change of selected tab results in an append operation.
Use Case: Manually summarizing science papers or PDFs without network connection in hedgedocs.
To enjoy it correctly host the corresponding backend. Docker will launch locally 2 servers on your PC when you start the compose yaml in the terminal.
* local hedgedocs instance on port 3000
* a python server hosting your pdfs locally on port 8000
