You can find the toggle for read receipts in the group chat settings. For direct messages, you can go into the chat settings section and find the toggle.

BetterSkype will completely change your Skype experience! The add-on provides users with enhancement updates for Skype such as toggleable read receipts specific to chats, invisible typing, performance upgrades, and many more features to come! This version is an early release, so the only feature currently supported is toggleable read receipts specific to chats.
