by familycanidae, 2 months agoUse Ublock Origin. Adblock will open up a spam tab every single day asking you to pay money for their "Premium" service. I was using this app because I DIDN'T WANT popups, lmao.
They're also going to reply to this review stating that the basic app is available for free and that the pop-up tab can simply be closed. Hey Adblock, I have a better solution--how about you stop asking for handouts and stop spamming us with popups? :D "If you don't like the tab you can just close it" is the same as saying "Hey, we are going to try to punch you in the face every day, if you don't like that you can just try to dodge the punch."

posted a month agoIt's not expected to see the update page every day. It should only display when we release an update to the extension. Feel welcome to email us at support@getadblock.com and we can help troubleshoot. — Kat C., AdBlock Support

posted 9 hours agoIt is difficult for any ad blocker to block ads on Twitch. Since Twitch ads are inserted directly into the video stream, ad blockers must “race” to block ads on Twitch streams before the site can download them. This means that while AdBlock does block Twitch ads, we may not be able to catch every single ad before you see it. If you see occasional unblocked ads on Twitch while using AdBlock, a simple page refresh should eliminate them. — Kat C., AdBlock Support- Rated 5 out of 5by Ila, 3 days ago

posted 9 hours agoIf you YouTube ads, please try disabling AdBlock for a day or so. When you re-enable AdBlock, you should no longer experience ads. — Kat C., AdBlock Support- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13461841, 4 days ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by skyhook, 25 days agoSo so so frustrating that AdBlock comes with spam these days. Every day, Adblock opens a New Tab requesting that I pay to upgrade to "premium Adblock"...whatever that nonsense is. This behavior only began roughly 1-2 years ago, when Adblock started going downhill. The straw that broke the camel's back tho was that Adblock recently decided to hide the "Block something on this page" button—the only feature that I ever really valued. So, reader, do yourself a favor: skip Adblock & just stick with **uBlock Origin**... it's free, zero spam, & vastly better performance.

posted 18 days agoThe update page which provides the option to upgrade to Premium should only show once per browser/device when we release an update to the extension. If you are seeing it every day, please email us at support@getadblock.com The block element feature can be found on the new menu by clicking the AdBlock icon > More (three dots). — Kat C., AdBlock Support - Rated 5 out of 5by Shiro, a month ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by ElPoonPoon, a month agoThe ad blocker has intrusive pop-ups just like the things it's designed to protect you from now.
They disguise them as "update" notifications but they are pushing updates every week and if you have the extension on multiple devices it will take over whatever tab you have open and show you that it's updated for the 5th time this month on every single device and conveniently also have an option to donate money.
The annoyance quickly builds up. After being interrupted and having to close a good 20-30 pop ups across all my devices a month, I'm done.Developer response
