After a long fight with the add-on not working anymore, I found the cloned "fix version", which does the job on my FF 33 at home.
At work, I need to use FF 17.0.11, and there the "fix version" is NOT compatible. Even editing the FF version in install.rdf doesn't help.
Anyway, a comment at the clone add-on has led me back to here, and THIS add-on seems to be working fine again.

Suppose they now gave up completely - the spinner is running for weeks now and no data loading anymore.
