Use with Cookies Manager+ Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen
I think it's a good idea to use this add-on with Cookies Manager+ to manage the cookies saved by AutoFormer2.
AutoFormer2 works correctly on an https site as well as an http site but secure sites often use an embedded one-time token in the URL, which is added to the URL with a question mark.
And AutoFormer2 saves the submit fields as cookies belong to the URL with the token that will be never used again. This is why it seems it doesn't work on some https sites.
By the way I recommend that you should use a disk cleaner such as CCleaner instead of Firefox's remove history button. CCleaner doesn't clear cookies you opt in the cookie list.
Nice add-on for multi OS users Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen
While Firefox button is initially located on the left-top of the window when you use Firefox with Windows, the default position of the button in Ubuntu is right-top. That may be a trifle difference but always annoys me. This is what I wanted.
A small problem I met was:
When I installed this add-on and restarted Firefox, the bookmark tool bar didn't show up and I had to restart it in the safe mode to got something fixed. Ok, now I could put Firefox button from the customize window. But again, something went wrong. Starting FF in the normal mode and I found the customize window was disabled for some reason I couldn't figure out. Then, I got FF to restart in the safe mode and the matter to be fixed. Good. Every thing is all right.
Anyway, even though this add-on is not completely perfect, it really worked as I wanted and I'm happy now. Thank you.
Peer's patched version worked with TB3 and TB6 Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen
Thank you Wind Li and Peer.
I tried the patched version by Peer with TB 3.1.13 on Ubuntu 11.04 and TB 6.0.2 on Windows XP.
Exporting seems no problem. It always generates a text file containing the filter rules.
As for importing, only once, I got a trouble that the operation terminated successfully but nothing came up to the filter menu after rebooting TB. But, I guess it because the profile data had some inconsistency before importing. At that time, I copied a profile from the other TB and then started TB to import the file. Maybe I made a mishap when I copied the profile manually.
Other than this case, this plugin works as I hoped.
Two unimportant problem to me is:
(1) When you import a filter rule, the old rule in TB is erased or overwritten. If you want to them combined together, I guess you firstly need to export the current rule to a file and edit it with the new rule. It may be just a plane text file but I'm not sure.
(2) While the export button is located on the message filter window, the import button isn't. It appears on the pull down bar of the tool menu. I was confused a little -- "Huh? Where is the import button?"
But anyway, I'm happy now. Again, I say thank you to Wind Li and Peer. (By the way, I wanted to donate to the author but this page doesn't have a link to Paypal . So I submitted it via one of his other plugin pages.)
