Warum wurde "Xmarks Sync" geschaffen?
Xmarks (formerly Foxmarks) was started by industry veteran Mitch Kapor and long-time colleague Todd Agulnick. As the founding Board Chair of the Mozilla Foundation, Mitch recruited Todd to help him solve a real-world need: synchronize his Firefox bookmarks between his home and work computers. LastPass a widely respected free password manager took over Xmarks in December 2010, and has continued improving it.
Was kommt als nächstes für Xmarks Sync
Our products now synchronize across Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome, and Safari browsers running on Windows, OSX, and Linux.
We're also actively working on our Smarter Search features, looking for better ways to help our users assess and discover the best sites on the web about any topic.
LastPass will likely be combined with Xmarks at some point in the future.

Wer ist Xmarks Inc.?
Xmarks was founded in 2006 as Foxmarks, and was purchased by LastPass in November 2010. Our sync add-on is one of the most popular ever, with over 20 million downloads. Xmarks is also available for Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Safari. Xmarks also syncs open tabs (Firefox, Chrome, IE) and browser history. A premium offering is available that brings your bookmarks and open tab sync to Android and iPhone.
Xmarks also offers bookmark-powered web discovery features, to help you find the best sites on the web. We extract anonymous information from our corpus of over 1.2 billion bookmarks and deliver it to your search page.
