Appreciate the features of this add on. However alerts come up in Spanish on my en-GB GNU IceCat.
Great add on; is another vital tool for all privacy warriors.
Fantastic add on. Is another important tool in my swiss-army knife of privacy extensions.
Thank you for this add on. Along with CookieSafe, I have found possible Cookie overkill and have an absolutely fine-tuned control of the cookies that are on my computer. Which is how it should be.
This does just the job it needs to, without the bloat and corporate sheen of the new Taco.
Xmarks has rapidly become more important for me after increasing annoyances with Firefox Sync. And it does the sync job very well. My only concerns are to do with password storage, as it does not use the firefox password manager and also an interface to see xmarks passwords does not seem to exist. Hopefully this will be integrated with Lastpass, or this functionality will be transferred to or taken over by Lastpass?
There's not a lot I can say about this other than it is perfect. Since I have started using it I have learnt to take my password security much more seriously.
The only faults are in it's other software packages; at the moment it doesn't seem worth me being a paid subscriber as the android application is very poor. However this hasn't affected the score of how well this works with Firefox.
I majorly dislike how I can no longer be trusted to easily create my own sync key. I was using a very strong passphrase, but because of some troubles upgrading I needed to reset the sync key, and was pretty annoyed it was randomly generated without the option to create my own. I now need to either use an e-mail service or keep this sync key written down to synchronise with pcs at parents house and at work. Which strikes me as even less secure than just letting me create my own!! (actually I'm using LastPass's secure notes function to provide this, but the fact I need to rely on another add on to keep this key secure is very, very poor design).
My needs are more and more being met with a combination of LastPass, Xmarks and more recently Siphon; which is a shame as I would prefer to keep my data secured with a non-corporate company than a for-profit company. Please do something to change this; this add on is going in the same direction as the rest of the Firefox project and becoming too bloated. Hence the reason many users are migrating to Chrome!
Since Ghostery has turned a bit too corporate for my liking, Ad Hacker has reasonably filled the void. However I would like a better confirmation of the license for this program as I cannot seem to find any information about it.
This works absolutely fine for me. I'd like to see the interface updated to work like noscript more, as the primary reason I use this add on is because of it's similarities to noscript. Now noscript doesn't refresh the page until I move the mouse away from the menu, allowing me to "allow" multiple sites without it refreshing each time. If CS could act in a similar way then I would find the experience much smoother; however this is more of an inconvenience then an annoyance.
This is a fantastic add-on. However I would strongly urge people to disable adblock on sites they genuinely support; for example I have it disabled on my search engine ixquick as I support their privacy-driven search. Also there are a number of open source projects I do not mind being bombarded with the odd advert. This is not the fault of the software however; just possibly the user.
I'm impressed by this add on. All that is missing is the ability to add/remove custom sites in the interface.
This is a fantastic extension. It's a real shame Firefox Sync doesn't have this functionality already- although the way that project is going, all my syncing needs are sadly met by other 3rd party extensions now.
Although it has taken a long time for the wounds to heal after the whole NoScript/adblock fiasco, I have come to the conclusion that NoScript is the add-on I most trust with my JS blocking needs.
In terms of usability this is the best add on out there. Although initially there is a sort of training period as you allow JS for the different sites you use, after about a week's use you rarely need to tweak anything else. That the interface has been replicated for other add ons like CookieSafe is quite a testament to be proud of.
The only reason this has received 4 stars rather than 5 is because of the previously mentioned issue with AdBlock. Although neither side came away particularly in the right for their actions, NoScript went too far. Also there was the issue of commercial interest in order to make money from the add on. This might not be related to the add on itself, but certainly relates to the security and anti-corporate reasons one would install something like NoScript in the first place. At least it's not gone in the direction of Ghostery or TACO/Albine!!!
Fantastic Add On. BTW, I'm using AdHacker at the moment as a replacement for Ghostery. I find it a shame these people fail to realise the anti-corporate noises being made by installing these add ons, by then turning themselves into a commercial company. They do not seem to understand their audience, methinks; the first important part of any business!!Diese Bewertung wurde für eine vorherige Version des Add-ons (1.3.0) abgegeben.
Been using this under Windows, Mac and K/Ubuntu, and I absolutely love it. Curiously it looks absolutely gorgeous in KDE whilst pretty average looking in Gnome. It goes without saying this also looks great on Windows. Looks good on Mac too, although it's still a little glitchy.
This is exactly what I wanted! It was the first one I tried, then I had a go at Chromin Frame. However this is in my opinion the superior one.
I'm using this along with Compact Menu 2, Spotlight and the Smart Stop/Reload Button extension and it gives a really nice, neat browser, very similar to chrome but compatible with all my other plugins.
Seemed to leave loads of avp*.tmp files in C:\Windows\Temp .Diese Bewertung wurde für eine vorherige Version des Add-ons (126.96.36.199) abgegeben.
Perfect. Being able to use it with Thunderbird (and even Songbird?) would take it beyond perfection.
Amazing. A life saver!!!Diese Bewertung wurde für eine vorherige Version des Add-ons (1.2.4) abgegeben.
