Great clippings manager, and very flexible. Allows me to tailor what I want to save from web pages, efficiently. Management tools for my clippings is quite powerful with its "Combine Wizard" tool.
Sadly, the sidebar "Close" button, and "Tools" menu item get displaced off the window, inaccessible, when I load a page while sidebar is visible---happens in ScrapBook Plus. Such problem doesn't happen in "non Plus" version.
Site spamavert.com seems dead: I have not been able to connect there for about two weeks now.Dieser Benutzer hat eine ältere Bewertung zu diesem Add-on.
Top flight tabs organizer. Only annoyance is that I can't control (figure out?) WHERE will a tab open up. Tried many settings---tabs still seem unpredictable about their place on the bar.
FoxClocks 2.10.85. I have good UTC time from NTP.
FoxClocks time zones for daylight saving fail changeover on the following year.
Since my last comment about this addon, I found out that it's spyware. I feel duped, and I don't like it. I have already removed this addon; I will not be fooled---not if I can prevent it.
RATING OF THIS ADDON: -5 (that is, "five negative marks").
No; nope nope nope . . . Nice Translator cannot reside in my Firefox.
Half of the objects I have installed in the Firefox menus toolbar get wiped out when Nice Translator is installed. Only disabling this addon restores my objects.
Fails to recognize keywords for search plugins names . . . which the normal location bar does.
Great little add-on, I use it all the time.
But I was wondering: seems that sometimes my text boxes get frozen by this add-on. Frozen to the point that not even the blinking cursor will penetrate the text box. Toggling the "Enable in text boxes" checkbox seems to solve the problem . . . until it happens again . . . at random.
--Like a wilted flaccid flower, this addon did NOTHING in my Ffox 3.5.2
--I installed, restarted, opened Addons panel . . . no "Preferences" button for this addon.
--Right-clicked on a Bit.ly link in Twitter . . . nothing. No "LongURLPleaseMod" menu item anywhere.
--10 minutes later: I went to Addons panel again . . . hey! "Long URL Please Mod 0.5.1" had popped a "Preferences" button.
--"Lengthen short urls when every page loads" is TICKED. . . . Reloaded Twitter page . . . Bit.ly links still shortened . . . right-clicked on link == nothing; no "Long URL Please Mod" menu item.
--Clicked on "Tools" menu . . . nothing; no "Long URL Please Mod" menu item.
For me, it failed to expand links shortened by bit.ly and its permutations.
What happened to the review I just wrote?
Doesn't work here. Possibly NoScript is blocking. Is there a URI to whitelist?
I wanted to be able to put a sticky note on an email message (gMail), then close the message, then have the sticky note be there when I reopened the message. Xsticky allowed me to create the note ... but the note did not survive closing/opening the email message. =(
I won't adopt Xsticky because I want only one app that will work everywhere, not just web pages ... for the sake of consistency and coherence.
I'll take away another star for difficulty in figuring out how to move the stickynote around---not intuitive.
Applet seems nice enough that I'm willing to try it again if my concerns are resolved.
Firefox has a pesky annoyance: the lack of "partial name matching" mechanism in the cookies list. Oddly enough, the "Saved Passwords" list does have the mechanism . . . making the cookies list more irritating . . . lol.
The CookieExFilter add-on solves the problem with flying colors. I enterd "ens" and it selected the 2 matching items from my list of dozens: "opensuse" and "licensing". I refined to "ensi", and selection was narrowed to 1: "licensing". Powerful matching mechanism, and easy as pie to use.
Further, it solves a number of other inconveniences---this add-on does its job very well.
Only difficulty I found is that I couldn't figure out what the preferences "Add Search Bar" to "Popups", and to "Images" meant. Which popups? Which images?
Deserves 5 stars.
To set NewsFox to add feeds when clicking on RSS icon, here's the labels to click in Linux Firefox 3.0.10:
Edit::Preferences::Applications::Web Feed::---> Use NewsFox
Overview link says: "By choosing 'Newsfox' in the 'Feeds' panel of Firefox options(preferences)..."
My Ffox does not have a "Feeds" panel in the Preferences/Options pane. :(
I did have half a dozen tabs opened and loaded.Diese Bewertung wurde für eine vorherige Version des Add-ons (1.1.2) abgegeben.
2) Restarted Ffox.
3) Customized settings.
4) Clicked on toolbar FoxTab icon.
5) Nothing happened.
Ffox 3.5beta worked fine with TinyUrl 1.0.5, despite "Not compatible" status. Bump up maxVersion to 3.5?
