Great—and a minor refinement would make it perfect Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternen
This is great! It'll be even more useful now that the unthinkable has happened, SRA has been handed the keys to the White House, and his name will continue to be plastered all over the media (which delights him, I'm sure—it's probably the only real reason he bothered with all this).
I'd give this add-on all 5 stars if it paid more attention to capitalization. The Dreaded Name often appears in the midst of sentences, not just at their beginnings—but the add-on always starts the replacement text with a capital S. That doesn't really work.
Also, when the word "Trump" appears alone, it substitutes just the "r. a." part of the text. That's fine, but the capitalization isn't reliable there either, because the replacement text is all lower-case—which looks odd at the beginning of a sentence.
I propose a simple solution: Always capitalize all three words of the replacement text ("Some Rich A."). We all know what's going on, so it'd be funny to see SRA appearing with an actual alternative "name". And it'd be much easier than trying to code in all the extra context-detection.
I'd also like to see the bug fixed that Anonymous mentioned below. The add-on should ignore places where extra characters have been added (e.g. "Donald Trump's") and deal with the name strings only.
Review follow-up Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternen
It doesn't seem I can edit the review I just posted, so I'll post this follow-up.
Apparently, when the word "Trump" appears alone, this add-on substitutes just the "r. a." part of the text. That's fine—but the capitalization doesn't work there either, because the replacement text is all lower-case.

This is great! It's even more useful now that the unthinkable has happened, the SRA has been handed the keys to the White House, and his name will continue to be plastered all over the media (no doubt to his delight—I'm convinced it's the only reason he's bothered doing any of this).
Only one thing keeps this add-on from 5 stars, IMHO. It works fine when the Dreaded Name is at the beginning of a sentence. But when it's in the midst of a sentence, which is often the case, it still starts the replacement text with a capital S. I'd like to see it made a bit "smarter" so it used a capital only when the previous character was a linebreak, or it was preceded by an end-of-sentence character— . ! ? ) ] — plus one or more spaces.
Great, with one annoyance Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternen
This does just what it says—very helpful! I like its simplicity—no options to fuss over, no presumptuous keyboard shortcuts, no auto-reloading of pages. (There are times when you don't want to reload immediately, and pressing F5 is easy enough.)
The only annoyance is that, unlike every other FF extension I've ever used over 20-odd years, this one won't let you move its toolbar button. From what I know about coding, the developer must've deliberately implemented this.
Why? People like to organize their toolbars—e.g. to put their most-used buttons closer to center, to group related buttons. Perhaps our esteemed developer has a control issue or two?
Wow, great idea! Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen
Wow, this is a great idea! (Oh, I already said that, didn't I?) It works fine for me.
If you're worried about losing your tabs, just install the Tab Mix Plus extension too. All you have to do is click its toolbar button and you can save your tabs (in the current window, or all windows) with any name you wish. It takes just a few seconds; then you can send your tabs to OneTab without fear!
Works great! Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen
Such a logical idea—why doesn't FF already do it? Thanks for sharing this!
The greatest theme ever—but no longer usable! Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen
IMHO, This is the greatest FF theme ever. I always loved using it. Sadly, it stopped working many FF versions ago. Won't you please update it so we can enjoy it again? :?(Dieser Benutzer hat eine ältere Bewertung zu diesem Add-on.
Very good, though it doesn't work in Yahoo Mail Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternen
A great idea, and it works in _most_ text-editing areas. But not, for some reason, in Yahoo Mail, which is primarily why I tried it. Can that be fixed, or is there something about YM's editor that prevents it?
BTW, I don't know why the previous reviewer ranted like that. When you open IAT's Options, it clearly says the cache folder—which is intended to be temporary anyway (that's why it's called "cache", not "backup")—is auto-cleaned every 7 days. If I were a developer, I'd never assume anyone wanted a cache folder to keep accumulating content for even more than one or two days.
If you want local copies of anything you're writing, you need to specifically save them that way, not assume that temporary copies will be retained for any length of time. Local editors (e.g. Microsoft Word) keep temporary copies too, so the user doesn't lose the work they're immediately doing if there's a problem with the app or the system. These copies are eventually deleted automatically, too.
Here's what I _really_ don't get: If this ranting user was actually using IJT's cache folder as a working file folder, they would've had to open ITJ's Options to see its location (hidden away in a sub-subfolder of the user's Firefox profile). Which means they also saw the auto-clean warning. So I guess I'll apologize for them for their baffling and unnecessarily abusive behavior.
It works, and it's quite impressive, but... Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternen
This add-on does what it claims, and its many (and I mean many!) features are quite impressive.
However, it has the most mind-bogglingly disorganized, most poorly labeled options window I've ever seen—not just on any FF add-on, but on anything, ever. I'm a technical writer—I make my living helping engineers communicate complex things to their users—and I can barely decipher HCTP's interface.
DarthMadara is into detail, big-time. Once you've installed HCTP, open your Extensions list (Ctrl+Shift+A), find HCTP, and click "More". You'll be greeted with a single paragraph of details so massive that it requires scrolling. This too is way unnecessary. A brief description, mentioning a few prominent features, would not only be more appropriate, but make it a lot more likely anyone would actually, you know, read it.
DM obviously means well, and it's very generous to go to all the trouble to create this add-on for us. But dude—when it comes to options interfaces, you don't have to reinvent the wheel. People have been perfecting the art of the GUI for decades now. Please get together with someone who has experience organizing, designing and describing these things, so HCTP be more practical and humane. Take my word for it: When it comes to interfaces and documentation, Less Is More. (Of course you'd never know that from the length of this review, LOL.)
I'm deducting one star not just for the otherworldly GUI, but because I'm sure there are more features I'd use if I could understand them.
Does what it claims Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen
This add-on does just what it claims. It makes it considerably easier to block ads that aren't on ABP's list yet. (It also works fine with the more aggressive AdBlock Edge.)
I am a bit concerned about the claims that it sends data to its website without users being aware of that. I don't know if that's true or not, but I think the developer should at least respond to one of the reviews wondering about that. (Maybe the dev doesn't speak English...?)
Great, with a couple of minor annoyances... Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternen
This theme is very well-done, and is great for people who want a dark, non-glaring theme. There are only two things I don't really like about it:
• When you hover over a tab, the whole tab bar gets bigger. I see no useful reason for this; I guess it's just a kind of artsy-craftsy effect. Very distracting... I wish it were optional.
• In Firefox's Options page, it changes the named categories (Extensions, Appearance, etc.) to icons only. I wouldn't mind the icons if they had text labels too, but it's presumptuous to expect users to remember what all the categories are.
BTW, I'm using this theme with FF 40.0 right now, and those window icons are appearing normally for me. How odd.
A good, elegant dark theme, but... Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternen
I like everything about this theme except the artsy-craftsy "glow orb" background that appears on the Options tab, Add-on tab, etc. I find it rather juvenile and distracting, and wish it was possible to omit it.Diese Bewertung wurde für eine vorherige Version des Add-ons (2.3.8) abgegeben.
Great! Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen
Works great! Just one minor quirk: I've found that when I inadvertently use it to copy some text that's already plain (e.g. Google Maps URLs), it fails to copy at all. Don't know why—but I'll just try to remember to use regular Copy in those cases.
FLOOD212: Try Keyconfig, here on the FF Add-ons site. It lets you easily redefine any of FF's shortcuts.
Could be simpler... Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternen
"Boom, done. Simple as that." Actually, it could be simpler: Add the ability to set a keyboard shortcut rather than having to fuss with the context menu. Otherwise, great!

This is fabulous. It does exactly what it's supposed to do. What's especially impressive is that the developer looks like he's about 15 years old. He must be a genius.Diese Bewertung wurde für eine vorherige Version des Add-ons (3.05.1-signed) abgegeben. Dieser Benutzer hat eine ältere Bewertung zu diesem Add-on.

This extension is a beautiful thing. If you're already familiar with the way add-ons work in Firefox, you'll really appreciate how this extension streamlines your add-on lists—especially if you're like me, and have 20 or 30 of them installed. (Hey, they're so great, it's hard to stop!)Diese Bewertung wurde für eine vorherige Version des Add-ons (7.0.1-signed.1-signed) abgegeben.
This is awesome Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen
This is awesome. It does exactly what it says it does. Anyone who uses YouTube will find this very useful.
I found it especially useful because, for some reason, YouTube's resolution menu wouldn't stay open for me. When I clicked the "gear" icon, the menu appeared for just a moment, then disappeared. With this plugin, I was able to choose the resolutions and player sizes I wanted, and didn't have to bother with YouTube's buggy controls at all. Thank you!

I know we're not supposed to post bug reports here, but I can't find any support links for this add-on, and I thought it was important to post this show-stopping problem in case the author sees it.
QuickWiki worked fine till I upgraded to FF 32.0. Now, when I try to use it, I see:
An error occurred saving the page. API-ERror: mustposttoken
The author is welcome to delete this "review" as soon as he knows about the bug. I hope he can fix this, because QW is terrifically useful!
