BTW, when loading and re-saving a saved MAFF, char-encoding metadata gets duplicated:
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">
If the addon saves a page based on "browser state", why does it add back parts removed by Adblock element hider?
(The support page is down so I'm reporting here).
This addon is one of the reasons I still use FF/Palemoon.
Issues mentioned in previous review mostly persist though.
Adding back removed elements wasn't reported before, I think.
Highly functional so far, and identifies itself properly in the menus (but not in the bubble), so I don't have to do detective work to hunt down what addon a button or menu item belongs to.
However the bubble... the soddin' thing inserts itself into the page source code, even with the bubble disabled. So all pages I save (with MAFF addon) have IMtranslator code inserted in them (and mixed into original code without any separators, so you have to count tags when deleting it manually in text editor).
The bubble always popped up at the wrong time and place so I disabled it quickly anyway... didn't expect it would still insist upon hanging around, forever, within saved pages.
(Based on older FF, probably doesn't work in newer ones)Extremely indispensable, but with issues, seems to add a layer of processing rather than just changing menus, so original unedited menu flickers for a moment, and then gets redrawn with edited one. With higher CPU loads this may be quite slow.Search context menu editors override it, menueditor doesn't "see" their menu items. Probably another stage of processing.Settings should be stored in menuedit.rdf I think, if someone is looking to copy/backup settings.My rating may not be fair :), it reflects the end result but it's more likely an issue with Firefox's poor UX/UI and extension API. A browser shouldn't need 40 addons to be *almost* usable.
Unfortunately only does what it says and not an inch more... works in text boxes, but not in web pages where the problem is more severe.Have to switch back to Opera some day I guess...
Looks like it broke when I updated Firefox to v20.2 (Palemoon actually). Stays that way so far. Haven't managed to revive it, tried uninstalling recent addons etc.Diese Bewertung wurde für eine vorherige Version des Add-ons (6.3.1) abgegeben. Disappeared completely when I updated to FF (Palemoon) v20.2. Tried a few tweaks, including reinstalling it, this worked in the past, but no effect so far.
When it worked, it never showed the context menu when viewing a plain image rather than HTML page with an image embedded. Tineye reverse image search works under that condition so it should be doable.
Great idea. Same for Google would be great, google is peddling more and more garbage. It used to have a blocklist but it was cumbersome, didn't seem to have any effect much of the time, and is now disabled anyway to peddle their Chrome browser with said functionality available.Diese Bewertung wurde für eine vorherige Version des Add-ons (0.2) abgegeben.
The name is misleading, it just adds a button to disable session saving without going into browser options? Other functionality seems to be the same as Firefox default.
I really could use a tool that forces session save at demand without exiting.
Stopped working recently - no context menu item shows up for images.Since the "Add to Firefox" button was active here, I clicked it and it installed again without any mention of it being already installed. For a second the context menu activated. And then disappeared again.So I clicked the Add-to button here again, and the context menu works again, briefly.Seems to be self-destructing somehow, although it remains visible in the Add-Ons window.
Re: version - always the latest. Somehow the problem disappeared by itself. Firefox has a life of its own and its good and bad days.
Stopping autoplay works some of the time. Might be a bug in Firefox itself, as it does crash a lot and for a long time before a crash, or in otherwise poorer performance conditions (like when Firefox gets very slow) plugins generally function more poorly.
Preference for higher resolutions seems to work reliably.
It now also gives an error message "Error: Adblock (or similar extension) is known to interfere with SmartVideo. Please add this url to adblock whitelist" without specifying what URL to add. Adblock DOES have youtube-specific filters active, in Easylist and elsewhere, but I won't disable them at random and without a good reason.
1. Select-to-translate makes copying text impossible. I may close the translation popup but it pops up again if I right-click to copy text, disabling "copy" in the context menu.
2. Translating whole page is locked to the main language selected in options. There is a dropdown menu to select language, but it has only one language. I usually need translate to English with whole pages because Google doesn't translate longer phrases well to my native language. It would be nice to have a REAL dropdown menu there.
Also, the full-page translation button should indicate which plugin does the translation. Since it fails on many occasions I use other Google Translate plugins and it took time figuring out why there's a limited-function Google translate button in my toolbar and why it is locked to one language/which addon it belongs to. I thought it had something to do with my Google site settings.
3. Often fails to get a translation even though Google has it and other addons CAN translate the section. Particularly happens if I choose non-English (Estonian here) as main language and check the "search English too" checkbox. The popup just stays empty.
4. Breaks on some longer passages and translates only the beginning. First sentence or the first line, not sure yet.
LOL, Opera had this by default. I wonder how many plugins it takes to get Firefox usability at least close to that of Opera. This, and many other functions really are an essential part of a browser.
Now is Opera only had MAFF support and such a selection of plugins...
Image Picker cannot find or process images that cannot be directly accessed by a simple mouseclick. So if images are camouflaged using any common tricks, like using them as "background", or any other trick, Image Picker cannot see them.Diese Bewertung wurde für eine vorherige Version des Add-ons (1.2) abgegeben.
The FAQ lists billions of manual fixes to keep various sites and services running, shouldn't these be integrated into the tool?Diese Bewertung wurde für eine vorherige Version des Add-ons (2.1.9) abgegeben.
Does this support mulltiple google accounts?
I am now forced to use two at once.
It's one of the most annoying buttons in FF, so it's great I can get rid of it.
I always get "Plz make sure you have open the album page" error wherever I try it on Flickr
Doesn't work, at least not at http://etv.err.ee/arhiiv.php?Diese Bewertung wurde für eine vorherige Version des Add-ons (0.4.3) abgegeben.
