Does not work at the moment Bewertet mit 2 von 5 Sternen
I used this add-on a long time ago, and I absolutely loved it. It took me a long time to find it again. I like minimalist interfaces. I was surprised to see that it has been recently updated, as well, usually such addons become dead at this age. Sadly, at the moment the addon seems to have no effect at all, which is unfortunate, I would really like to have it back. Using Firefox 52.0.1.

I really loved this addon for firefox, I liked it more than Location Bar ^2. But, it doesn't do anything for waterfox, while most addons work fine with it, so I can't use it any more.Diese Bewertung wurde für eine vorherige Version des Add-ons (5.2.1-signed.1-let-fixed) abgegeben. It works Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen
It works! I have three similar addons installed that I can remove now, because none of them work. But this one seems to work flawlessly. I read that Redirect Cleaner was sort of merged into Clean Links, and it was my former favorite, but it stopped working for many redirects. At least it still worked for google, which is the important one.
And because someone asked what the purpose of this is... these constant redirects, from search engines, from forums, from chat rooms, of any links anywhere, are a form of invasive tracking, which I'm always staunchly against. Also, depending on who the redirect is going through, it can cause a noticeable delay in loading the link. Google result links were noticeably faster with Redirect Cleaner, as they also probably are with Clean Links.

I've been using this theme on and off for some time now. Without a doubt, my favorite parts are the bookmarks menu and the background of About:Newtab. The icons used in the bookmarks menu are phenomenal, and before I used this theme I *always thought* that those icons were horrid and could be closer to what this theme makes them. That is, more rectangular, more vertically 'aligned' so that the whole thing just looks more structured, so that the nested levels are clearer, and to offset the chaos of the random site icons.
Precise pixel art. Pleasingly neutral, low contrast font and background colors. The expand/collapse [+][-] icons are equally perfect. It's well organized and a work of beauty. Subtle, minimalist icons, minimalist color palette. Everything is either a 0 saturation black/gray/white, or shade of a vibrant 0x00ADEE blue.
Jerky addon page scrolling, Frecency sorting Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen
I notice that it makes scrolling very jerky and unresponsive, especially when there's more disabled addons in view. I don't know if that's an issue that this addon creates, or if it's already there and firefox deals with it by making the entries bigger so that there's less of them on the screen. Either way that's the only truly annoying thing about this addon, is that it makes the scrolling in the addon screen so slow, especially compared to how incredibly smooth firefox's scrolling is everywhere else. (Still one of the biggest reasons I prefer it to chrome.)
I'd like to see the custom sort order that Stew mentioned in his review https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/cam/reviews/485318/ . Ability to manually reorder addons, or even better, recognize how often I click things on the entries (mainly options), and then sort by that ("frecency", as mozilla calls it). I've thought of it before but didn't mention it because I assumed it was out of the scope of this minimalist addon.
Unstable + Intermittent Unresponsiveness Bewertet mit 2 von 5 Sternen
Doesn't seem to be stable with the autosave on. Causes my firefox to crash endlessly, and also causes a very noticeable 2-5 second freeze up every time it autosaves.
It's somewhat more stable with the autosave turned off, though how stable I'm not sure yet. If it had a working, seamless autosave feature, it would do something that nothing else can do, as far as I'm aware; a feature lots of people want. But without it, it lets you save multiple, automatically timestamped, custom named sessions (which is really nice) and load specific ones on demand. But this doesn't help much with crash recovery, which is the main reason many people want it. Firefox already has a session restore feature, though it can only save one session when it's closed and restore it when it's restarted.
And if you're not careful with the settings it can very easily gobble up 10+ GB of hard drive space with session files. I wish it could just autosave everything but the cache, because then the session files would be small, and it wouldn't take much time to extract the information; just things like URLs, window titles, history, cookies, states of site clickables and form entries; no cache. Only save the cache during an explicit, click of the save session button. It has an option to disable restoring from the cache, but not one to disable *saving* the cache. That would be a big help.
Of course even better would be to autosave the cache without freezing up firefox while it does it, by using a better write buffer.
I think that "Encrypt saved session and window history" ends up corrupting a lot of session saves, even with the master password entered at save time and at restore. And even with the "If encryption fails, do NOT save data unencrypted" box left unchecked.
Works well (edited for clarification) Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen
I just have some questions - what's the difference between 'Preserve scripts and source using "Save Complete"' and 'Take a faithful snapshot of the page'? Why is the MHTML checkbox available for both options, and what does it do exactly? As far as I can tell, both .maff and .mht are available after a Ctrl+S regardless, and the options (EDIT: by options I mean combinations of complete/snapshot and MHTML checked or not checked, not selecting a file extension) don't even seem to affect which extension is selected by default; it's always the last one used. Unrelated, but I like that you're getting rid of the "Add-on bar" and "Address bar" options under Interface, I don't see myself ever using them. "Address bar, for archived pages only" and "None" are the only two real options.Diese Bewertung wurde für eine vorherige Version des Add-ons (126.96.36.199-signed) abgegeben.
Should work with the amazing Multiple Tab Handler Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternen
What would be absolutely awesome, is if you made this work with your amazingly wonderful Multiple Tab Handler for a context, "Suspend all selected tabs" option. :D For the memory impaired. That is the main use of Suspend Tab anyway, right? Save memory?Diese Bewertung wurde für eine vorherige Version des Add-ons (0.1.2013053101.1-signed) abgegeben.
I love it (New edit, feature request) Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen
Works beautifully. I like that the left/right tab scroll arrows still don't appear until needed. But, very minor annoyances. I know they're not your fault at all, but still.
1) I notice that the arrows appear only when needed (when the tabs can't all fit even when they're shrunk to minimum width), but the arrows don't go away when re-closing tabs until it would be possible for the tabs AND the arrows to all fit at the same time, even though the arrows won't be there any more. Little inconsistencies like that annoy me - having the scroll arrows just barely remain, when scrolling wouldn't be needed if only they weren't there in the first place.
2) It might be nice if the grayed out, 'can't scroll this way' arrows never appear at all, only the black, 'can scroll this way' ones.
3) The "Animate when opening/closing tabs" is not annoying, because it is nice and fast and responsive. The only annoying part there is that ctrl+shift+T to reopen the last closed tab, which I do a lot, remains unanimated. I can close a tab with other tabs on either side and they slide in, yet reopening it doesn't make them slide back out, and because I'm (again) weird and nit-picky the inconsistency of it means I'd rather just keep the animation turned off.
EDIT: Thought I'd add an important feature request. The ability to expand the maximum tab width, instead of just limiting the minimum width. Chrome's equivalent feature is of course built-in and worse (not very customizable as far as I can tell), but it does have much wider maximum widths than firefox, which I kind of liked.

Amazing addon. Quickly replaced locationbar2. But, the "Use the Identity Box (when empty) to display the domain of the webpage." doesn't seem to work for me, and I'd really like it to. I'd rather see the domain than the meta stuff when the URL is too long, even with the 'remove gibberish' option (which I also love).Diese Bewertung wurde für eine vorherige Version des Add-ons (5.1.1-signed) abgegeben.
Very helpful Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternen
It works. I'd like to be able to see the counter in the title bar too. And I can't seem to get font size/family/weight to do anything. No matter, leaving the color blank defaults to the theme font color and that looks nice, after I moved it from the tab bar to the URL bar.Diese Bewertung wurde für eine vorherige Version des Add-ons (188.8.131.52-signed) abgegeben.
Feature request: Number of tabs in window Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen
I love this add-on. I have alt+w on rename tab. (And alt+q on view all tabs.) The only deficiency is that it doesn't remember window names after restarting.
Oh.. one more thing! Feature request. I would really, really, really like a 'pattern element' for number of tabs in a window.

Excellent add-on, one of my most favorite. I have wanted this exact functionality for a long time and never knew where to find it.. the ability to Ctrl+ and Shift+click to select tabs like I can files and text (in notepad++). So, thank you very much. Now I very regularly am not afraid to continue a stream of tabs that don't belong in the current window, because I can just select them all and drag them off of the tab bar to turn them into a new window, which I then name via a FireTitle binding.
First, I would like the 'Advanced > Implicitly select current tab' option to be expanded. I'd like it to be split into two options: one for Ctrl select and one for Shift select.
Second: As it is, with this option turned off, your first shift click sets the 'anchor' end and subsequent clicks without releasing shift define and then redefine the second end. When this option is on, the current tab is the 'anchor' end by default, and any clicks set the second end. What I'd like is for the current tab to already be selected as the second, re-definable end, then as usual the first click sets the first end and subsequent clicks redefine the second end.
Third: I'd like a little format customization for both the selected tabs and the anchored tab, instead of just the ugly blue rectangle. And the tabs themselves should change format when selected, not the text background and not the space between and behind the tabs, which is how it seems to work now. (The narrow spaces in the curved corners of the tabs, between and above the tabs, and a small rectangle around the text in the center turn blue, but that's it unless the tab is transparent, in which case it's all a rectangle.)
Edit Fourth: Oh oh I forgot the most important thing. I would really like keyboard cut/copy/paste right after tab selection. Then instead of having both windows ready, you could just cut, alt-tab over, and paste them onto the end of the tab bar (or right click to paste them between other tabs). :3
Edit Fifth: And.. an 'invert selection' context option, that both selects unselected tabs in the same window, and unselects selected ones.
EEdit SIXTH: Okay.. and, when I select tabs that aren't loaded and drag them off of the bar so that they move to a new window, they 1) load, 2) the new window is created and activated, and 3) they never actually move to it. It would be nice if they were moved to the new window fast and left unloaded.
edit 7..: You really should change the description from "Provides feature to close multiple tabs." It does so much more than that. Maybe something like, "Select and manipulate several tabs at once."
#8: I have decided that under "Action for dragging of tabs", "Select tabs" and "Switch tabs dynamically" are both incredibly useful features, and I have a hard time choosing just one. So if we had the option of either 1) assigning a modifier key combination (Ctrl, Shift, Alt) to one of them along with the "Move tabs by dragging within (###) msec." to the other, or 2) a different modifier combo to each, we could use both features.
Essential addon Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen
Astounding minimalist addon, one of my essentials. I'm sure this will be built-in eventually. Allows listing and rebinding of shortcut functions created by other addons, too, as it simply interfaces with a built-in browser feature. I use it all the time, in combination with the menu bar navigation (alt - t - o for options, etc.)
I would like to see an option to at least save the current set of bindings when you revert to default. Possibly save several sets.
As others have suggested, I would like to see the ability to empty a binding instead of just reassign it, though that's more of a cosmetic issue since I can just assign it to something I'd never use.
The search box at the top is a nice idea for heavy addon users, except that it doesn't seem to do anything.
Some people mention that it doesn't show tab focus cycling (ctrl+tab, shift+ctrl+tab) but I bet that's mozilla's fault. I never noticed because I like the default.
Some complain that it's name is misleading and it doesn't let you 'create' shortcuts. What you are actually asking for, is an addon that does whatever vague function is floating through your head at any moment. What you want is to make your own addon, or perhaps a script for another addon. This is "customizable shortcuts", not "create shortcuts" or "magic mindreading shortcuts". It might not be the best name, but it does list and allow customizeable shortcuts.
It might be possible for other addons to not play nicely with this one, either by circumventing firefox's key binding, or by monitoring and forcefully controlling it, but I haven't found anything like that yet.
Toopolite complains that it doesn't support half of the firefox shortcuts, but then only mentions one thing that it doesn't support - which ironically 1) doesn't have anything to do with firefox anyway, only the embedded flash of a particular site, and 2) youtube *does* intercept the space bar for pause/play when fullscreened. Maybe if you found an addon for pausing and playing youtube videos, it's key bound feature could then be reassigned by this one.
Panurg, I don't know of anything that uses literal letters or shift+letters (outside of methodic menu navigation) and I don't think I'd want to. (Well, maybe shift+letter.) You do have six other modifier combinations and I like 'search when I start typing'.
Unrelated: Victor Brandizz, there is a "Warn me when closing window with multiple tabs" in options > tabs, and ctrl+shift+N is Undo Close Window by default.
