I'm really happy that this extension is compatible with Pale Moon v25, can't complain about anything ; )
If you have a large high resolution monitor and you hate to zoom every time you visit a page this add-on is for you..Together with mouse control add-on you will never have to use the keyboard again to zoom a page..I am using it well over a year now and I have to say it's getting better and better..Especially the new "minimum text zoom" feture is very useful for sites that I can't zoom over 120% before the annoying horizontal scrollbar appears or even pages like add-on manager and about:config..
Saying that it has some flaws like it doesn'always remember the zoom I set..I have "fit to window+site specific" and it tends to always fit to window although I have set a zoom lower than that..Also "minimum text zoom" would be more powerful if we could block some pages of using it (like about:preferences) where my default zoom value makes fonts appear way too large..The image zoom is good but doesn't downscale very high resolution images to the resolution of my display..Last,when I first update to latest version it zoomed my text to 300%..
Overall a great add-on one of my top five which are the reason why I could never change firefox with all of its flaws..
This is a great and powerful addon. If you make changes in settings and end up breaking website layouts make sure the "Zoom Text Only" option is un-checked.If you make any changes to browser with this addon the changes may not be reverted back after uninstalling it so be careful with what you change.
Thank you author for the tip.
Great add-on! Often I need a screenshot of a website where the developer decided much too big buttons and lots of empty space. Reducing to 80% is the solution.
I have not been able to create a custom zoom-level. Repeatedly tried fo validate and apply
Regretfully these zoomlevels donot stick, i.e. "C:" remains 100.
However, that aside, good tool!
Pretty good at what it does, but can't handle the oddball situations where I need (for example) 168% zoom to properly fit what I'm doing.
The “zoom-to-fit” options are nice; although I haven't yet found a situation where what the software thought it should try to make fit was the same thing that I wanted it to fit to the screen, but I'm sure there will be times when having the software make the choices will be exactly what I want; but that certainly won't be all the time.
Currently I've gone for a Custom Zoom list of:
which will cover many of the options I'm commonly looking for, but is such a long list that it actually doesn't fit on the screen and I'll need to truncate it accordingly.
What the program really needs IMO is a one-off “Custom” option, between the long list of custom or preset zoom options and the ↔ and ☼ ► D/X, F/X, D/S, F/S choices. Prompt for a numeric 5%–400% entry and one-time that zoom level. (i.e.: 30 - 50 - 75 - 100 - 125 - 150 - 200 - 300 - Custom - ↔ - ☼ ). Also, a Ctrl-Click/Ctrl-Shift-Click on the +/- to zoom by ±1/±10 (regardless of the zoom levels setting) would make it much easier to hone in on the precise desired zoom level in particular situations.
That one addition will make it what "I" need. Without some kind of support for non-standard zooming here, there are doubtless other products that are more appropriate for me. But seems like a good product with loads of other useful options.
otherwise, 5-star add-on.
When Firefox starts, I have it set so it shows my windows and tabs from last time. The problem I’m having is that whenever I open Firefox, the first tab (on the farthest left) never zooms (fit-to-width) despite all the other tabs zooming just fine. It’s not a huge bug, but it’s a bit irritating to always have to copy the link from the first tab into a new tab to get the zoom to work correctly.
Edit: I've figured out a temporary fix, and that's to just leave an empty new tab page on the far left.
Edit2: 10.5 still hasn't fixed it for me. In the meantime, I'll just keep using that empty tab while I wait for a fix. Thanks.
This addon incompatible with other addon called "Menu Icons Plus 3.0" Please fix it.
Hi! I love your plugin, but doesn't matter which configuration I use, I can't zoom in images. I use to read a lot of mangas online, in earlier versions of your plugin I could zoom in everything in the tab, now just text that zooms, like I said, I tried every configuration possible.
I use firefox 29 for Linux.
bom extra funciona perfeitamente com Firefox 29 e é fácil de utilizar . bom trabalho
Zoom Page has returned sanity back to my web page view experience. My monitor is a 4:3 ratio 17" Chuntex CTX PL-7 and I set it to 1024x768. Whithout out Zoom Page I would frequently have to mouse scroll left/right to view some web pages. Setting my crt to a higher resolution was not the answer as everything on the page became to small to read, so then I'd have to fiddle with FF's built-in 'zoom' feature. Zoom Page allows a '1-click' fit-to-width. Exactly what I needed.
Thank you for this excellent add-on,
FF v25.0; Win8.1; Asus HD5850 graphics card.
Wanted Opera-ish fit-to-width, so i picked that in options menu. Worked just fine but a few minutes later it... lost its mind. Now when i "CTRL + [" it just displays a very small square window that cycles between F/S and D/S], but does nothing else.
Because it started fine i must assume it's a bug. [I'm running Cyberfox 28 on Windows 7.]
A day later: now it works. Was it me or it? Anyway, now it works, it's worth 5 stars. [Still think maker could usefully break up that one loooong explanation page into paragraphs tho...]
Great addon wit many zooming features
I cannot see the difference between this zoom and the default zoom... Great plugin anyways, works pretty good
Ok... Thanks. But? The group Mozilla cannot do it?
this works well. No more wasted white space and tiny, tiny fonts on YT comments. You could think of an easier to remember name though. Zoom page is pretty generic.
Okay. I just noticed for some strange reason the update that occurred today was to 9.0 but 9.1 is here. So I will try to see if it will update to 9.1 and fix the problem.
Very useful addon. Works fine again after the bug-fix in of the bookmarks-bug in v9.0. Thanks for the swift repairs!
I love this add-on, but I have the same problem as GiPiero.
It seems that the new version 9.0 has an annoying bug: it adds an unamovable large spage on the right side of my bookmarks bar. Please fix it!
This extension is perfect for my need.. :-)
It's working. Here I have a question,
When I select zoom mode "Fit-To-Width + Site Specific" it remember the site specific zoom level, but after clearing cache the site specific zoom level is also cleared. Is there any way to make the site specific level permanent. Thanx.
work well by far the best app for simple magnification til you attemp to uninstall it(only to lighten the load) temp loss- the problem was that the web pages were left magified even w/o the app BUG perhaps?
After some recent turmoil with some of the other zoomers which I have used and recommended for quite some time I did a review of all of them to see what is out there these days.
One leading competitor messed with a good thing and then placed obstacles in front of PM users(which required a top-down review of user agent changers in order to show a high enough minimum version number...)
After all of this I went and tried and retried a number of competitors. After the dust settled this one came out a winner. IMO it offers a good combination of sophisticated options while being easy to operate. I am a strong believer in the granny test and this one passes with flying colors!
DW-dev scores again! Happy holidays!
Great add-on. This is what I missed from Google Chrome, the percentage view. Now I won't get lost when randomly zooming in/out. Sometimes I don't know if it's already 100%, but with this add-on, it's no longer a problem.
