This add-on saved my eyes from 1440p 27'' monitor's tiny letter, without window dpi glitches.
But it seems that 'site specific' detection is too strict. can you add an option for that? something like, 'treat all domain including words **** as a one website'
Very nice plugin. I have 70 years, and bad eyes.
Linux Mint 17.3 Rosa
Hi, i sometimes get infinite page reload problem with fit to width option of zoom page extension on Palemoon 27. Problem usually happens on google when link look like this: https://encrypted.google.com/search?q=example&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8#q=example&start=10 . It would be nice if You could fix it. Thanks
I moved over to this extension from 'default zoom' because of the features & e10s support. It mostly works, but I've noticed that the plus & minus buttons don't consistently work. Just hitting +++++------ in rapid sequence on a big/heavy site will cause seemingly random settings to apply. For example, I was on SP100, hit +, and got XP90. An empty tab (or a simple/small webpage) doesn't seem to trigger this behavior. This is easily reproducible for me on multiple systems. Using FF 49, ZP 15.3, and e10s enabled. Also, how can I tell a site to go back to 'default' from being 'site specific'?
edit: updated today to 15.4 & looks like its fixed. thanks!
This problem is fixed in Zoom Page 15.4, which has been submitted to Mozilla for review and release, probably in a few days time.
The problem was caused by the time it takes Firefox to change zoom levels, which surprisingly is significantly longer with e10s than without e10s.
Great addon and very useful. The developer did a very good job. Carry on! ;-)
By the way: is there an paypal link to spend a donation for a cup of coffee to this good addon?
When i enable Zoom Page Awesome screenshot button disappears when i click awesome screenshot in tool bar button not shown, please fix
This problem is fixed in Zoom Page 15.3.
The Ctrl + Shift + - - Zoom Out by zoom step (or next level) shortcut is not working (v15.1).
Strangely enough, the pair of this shortcut, Ctrl + Shift + + for Zooming In didn't change it's behaviour, it works ok.
Re-testing of Zoom Page 15.1 shows that the Ctrl+Shift+ - (zoom out by zoom step) and Ctr+Shift+ + (zoom in by zoom step) shortcuts are both working correctly.
The problem you have experienced may be caused by another add-on conflicting with Zoom Page. Which operating system and version of Firefox are you using?
I installed this addon in the hope that it would allow me to set page zoom levels per tab, as opposed to Firefox's default 'zoom per domain'. Kinda disappointed that it doesn't allow it. Hopefully the developers can work on something. Right now the only thing this addon is good for is showing the percentage on the toolbar, so that you can see what zoom level you're currently at.
If you want to set page zoom levels per tab, you need to set:
- Zoom Mode to "Default (D/X)"
- Zoom Type to "Full-Page (P)"
A God-send for my hi-DPI latop screen. The Firefox DPI setting of 2 made the page elements too large, -1 far too tiny. This add-on let me use the DPI setting of 2, while setting the default zoom to 90%, which is perfect.
I appreciate this add-on's flexibility, it's not too complex to use. Find the settings that work, set it and forget it.
It's a really good addon, but it took me a while to understand what the heck was happening with Ctrl+; - I didn't even know Zoom Page was the one responsible for it!
Suggestion: Instead of a really cryptic "P" or "D", say it in full: "Zoom Page: Default" or "Zoom Page: Fit", whichever is appropriate.
Can't remember zoom setting for each path within the same domain name.
Hard to use, too complex.
...Full-Page "OR" Text-Only zoom. Why can't we use it together, that is why I liked NoSquint.
For example: Many pages with full-page zoom fit to width, still don't have acceptable text size. Than all I need to do is to increase text-only zoom too, and that wouldn't exceed page width, but I can't do that with Zoom Page.
I must admit Zoom Page have some advantages and great ideas, but this inability is a deal breaker for me. So I must stick with NoSquint Plus which is not on par with NoSquint.
Edit: Well, I didn't realize about Text Minimum Zoom Level functionality, it's better with that, although still not what I'm looking for, but I get Your reasons. Thank You for a clear and thorough explanation. :)
F/X mode is wonderful. I stumbled accross this add-on and it's absolutely great for laptops with a high resolution but a small screen. Browsing is now much more comfortable - I can sit back, and surf. Works great on Linux FF. Thanks!
An excellent replacement to NoSquint. I tried NoSquint plus, but it would not keep a specified zoom on my fastdial. With Zoom Page, it worked immediately. Thank you. You've saved my browsing experience!
How to make Zoom Page forget the zoom values of all sites, at once, and reset all of them to the default value, with one click?
Great add-on but over complicated and confusing option dialog
Needs to more self explantory and less confusing to setup
Otherwise a great add-on
Another new NoSquint refugee here. The Zoom step and Custom Zoom levels are really unintuitive.
1. The custom zoom levels don't seem to have any effect at all. I have mine set to:
But it doesn't seem to respect that setting at all when increasing/decreasing the zoom.
2. Zoom step: I'm not sure if this is a bug, but the only way I can get it to use the setting for zoom step is to use Ctrl Shift + / - . Using Ctrl + or Ctrl Mouswheel, just uses the default zoom increments.
Edit: Figured it out, you have to use the 'Zoom/In Out - use zoom step' checkbox on the 'General' tab to use this. With this, now I am very happy!
Thanks for all the work.
Edit: The developer (or someone) responded almost instantly and provided some possible solutions. This extension now works like it should, and I am very happy with it. Thank you, sir or madam.
I can't get new settings to apply. I'm using a Mac. When I click on the settings bar, I see three fields: plus, minus, and "888." Plus and minus don't work. 888 launches a settings bar, which I have set for 120. No change.
My goal is to enlarge every page, to have site-specific settings for various pages like I could do with Nosquint. How can I do that? Please help, really need a feature like this and will donate if you can make that happen. Thanks.
Like many others I had to search for new plugin when NoSquint stopped working. I know about Zoom Page, but never tried it before. Now I had no choice, but to try it. I was pleasantly surprised. It's way better than NoSquint in my opinion. I don't think I'll be getting back to NoSquint even if the the support for the plugin is restored.
Great job with Zoom Page plugin!
I've had NO problems switching from NoSquint to Zoom Page. I like it even better, because it integrates better with Firefox's native zooming. I'm glad NoSquint is no longer supported; otherwise I'd never have discovered Zoom Page.
I just realized that Zoom Page is from the same developer who created Print Edit, another great Firefox extension. No wonder it's so good!
Does one need to uncheck FireFox "site preferences" in the privacy options when clearing history in order for Zoom Page to remember each web sites' set custom zoom? I experimented with this, and this seems to be the case. However, I normally do a FireFox complete History clean each day (including site preferences). Does Zoom Page have any setting that saves custom set zooms for web sites without relying on "site preferences" in Firefox? TIA.
Not any word to say. Excellent for me.
My NoSquint stopped working with the 47.0 update and was pretty hard pressed to find a replacement. An old reddit post lead me to this fantastic app and saved my firefox viewing comfort. Seems to have a lot cool and advanced features. Can't recommend this enough for those who are now forced to abandon NoSquint.
NoSquint RIP = worked in FF46, ...stopped in FF47.
Tried NoSquint Plus.
After some playing with Zoom Page.
Think, I've landed on work-able setting.
Fit-To-Width + Sit-Specific and Fit-To-Window.
Custom Zoom 100-135 in 5's.
Zoom Page Options = head scratch.
Three Stars for now. Testing in progress.
LUV to NoSquint RIP
Update: Custom Zoom 100-145 in 5's.
Zoom Page works good.
Options Apply is vague and export Settings would be nice.
Update2: since, Zoom Page.... I've noticed some Firefox Not Responding. Seems related to Zoom Page or my Zoom Page Options for yahoo.com/news.
Update3: back to FF native Zoom In Out. I found about:config Preference 'toolkit.zoomManager.zoomValues'. Changed increment to by 5's and set View to ZoomTextOnly.
Since, I was using NoSquint so long. I had not explored FF native Zoom. My focus/needs are reading (text).
