I have a website on a hosted server. It (the server) a bad rating, therefore my website has a bad rating. I wrote about it TWO YEARS AGO asking for a re-rate. They give the usual blab about how the ip address must have sent spam... HEY: I get spam from MSN - but their servers aren't on the list... HMMM - like other people say, WOT just out for the suggested donation and really worried about changing anything.

WOT doesn't decide or change reputations, and we have never suggested that you make a donation. All reputations are based on user ratings and they tell you how much people trust your site. If you own a website that you feel has been misrated because of an earlier security incident, here's what you can do:

Since you neglected to mention which site you mean, there's also a possibility that you don't have your own domain, but your site is instead a subdomain of a domain owned by a hosting company. If this is the case, the reputation of the parent domain will affect your subdomain until your site has enough ratings of its own. Following the instructions above and posting a public review request on our site will help in this case too.
