This is a large update over 1.1.1. Everything below landed in between.
New
- Optional account and sync. Sign in to link Chrome, Firefox and Safari:
connected devices are listed by name, any of them can be signed out
remotely, and linked browsers share limits and settings, not just history.
- Cloud history for Pro and Max, off until you accept the disclosure that
spells out what leaves the browser. Free stays entirely local.
- YouTube can enforce one combined Shorts + Videos limit or independent
limits for each, and block only the feed that ran out or all of YouTube.
- Your history records which channel a video came from on YouTube and
TikTok, and which account you opened a post from on X.
- The cloud icon in the header is now a button that syncs on demand.
- Settings keeps a local limit log: limits reached, Continue actions you
accepted, and daily resets.
Faster
- Today and Videos open immediately with the activity already on hand while
account updates continue in the background.
- Sync uses far less data and battery, and the Videos tab stays smooth as
your history grows.
Fixed
- Time watched just before midnight counts against the day you watched it.
- Today and Videos always report the same watch time, and both keep counting
while you watch, with an account exactly as without one.
- With separate Shorts and Videos limits, the block screen names the limit
that actually ran out instead of adding both feeds together.
- The cloud status tells the truth: a sync waiting on its next attempt reads
as waiting rather than connected or failed, and an overdue sync says so.
- A dropped connection no longer signs you out; an interrupted renewal is
recognised as one and resumed. A genuinely compromised session still ends
at once.
- A TikTok tab whose title had not loaded yet no longer leaves a nameless
row in your history.
