- von Firefox-Benutzer 13513971, vor 24 TagenBewertet mit 5 von 5 SternenIt's actually working for me right now with Firefox 89 on Linux. Thank you so much because this is something I've been looking for to increase productivity! I hope the project continues on.
Firefox sucks for breaking the functionality, this developer does a great job for the tools available to work with so I wish -people would stop trashing the extension and the dev for Mozilla just utterly sucking on this and many other features (like extensions on the status bar, remember those days?)
- von scmstr, vor einem JahrBewertet mit 5 von 5 SternenHoly wow. This is the addon we're all looking for, the one where it partitions the window exactly like popular programming IDEs such as Visual Studio, Code, or Brackets. This is the professional addon with productivity in mind.
Things I like:
-I really like the little outline selector, showing which tab the mini-toolbar is referring to.
-I really like that this is its own tab. I use tree tabs, and being able to go in and out of this split pages thing by selecting which tab I'm on is really sexy.
-Having multiple instances (real tabs) of this is fantastic, and pairs like cheese and wine with tree style tabs.
Things I want:
-Future management so that tabs are both IN this tab, but also if i close this one tab, I wont lose the actual tabs. Maybe upon close, it exports the tabs out to the same location/order (insert?) with an option in the settings to have them stay loaded or not (I prefer them to stay as is, so I don't lose temp data or filled out fields).
-The ability to drag tabs and have a little visual thing to show where the new frame/window will appear. Seriously, if you just copy Visual Studio, you'd be golden; there's a very good reason Microsoft is still one of the leaders of productivity in business.
-Even though space becomes a premium, I would like at least a minimalistic control on each individual tab, at least something to grab and drag around like a tab header. It doesn't have to be big. The offloading of each tab into the split window toolbar is critical though, as it saves a ton of space. I get the conflict between having this whole thing being its own tab and the firefox addons though; maybe treat the entire thing as just a separate, embedded firefox window into a tab??? I dunno, I think somehow getting the main firefox toolbar to point to the tiled tabs even though it's actually a single tab is the way.
Things this addon MUST achieve at BARE MINIMUM to be usable:
This all being said, I'm going to keep this addon but never use it because hamstringed as it is, it's mostly useless. I have high hopes.

Pros: The taskbar and the right click menu are easy to understand/use. The add-on options are usefull. ONLY 1 TAB FINALLY <3 .
Cons: Two url bar (1 for the add-on(container.html) the 2nd for the url). Others addons (like Noscript or uMatrix) can't detect the focused page so can't be used In a layout and no multimedia so I will use Tiled Tabs until updates.
