Firefox is just not the same without the toolbar at the bottom. I'm sure I speak for a lot of people when I say; please make it compatible with the newest Firefox!

Great extension, too bad Mozilla is trying to kill its own browser by making nearly all extensions incompatible with the latest realeases of Firefox. Please update, we need your extension!

Update would be awesome Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen

Adding my voice to hope for an update. Really wish Firefox would just add this to the browser itself, it's really handy!

Add on bar not working after update Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen

Firefox seems to be quite intent on wrecking their browser these days . Please update

This should be in core of Firefox Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen

The reason for this addon to exist is Mozilla's utter misconception of how their browser is used by the people. This addon is part of my daily work with the browser. To have a working version for the current Firefox version and later appears essential. Keeping fingers crossed for a solution!

It was a great add-on until Mozilla updated Firefox to v. 55.0.3. Now the add-on bar (restored) is not compatible with Firefox.

Before Firefox did away with the "add-on bar" (when Firefox still had it, it was called the "status bar"), I used it extensively for several purposes. As soon as the "Add-on bar (restored)" was made available, I jumped on it, and I've been using it ever since.

I sincerely hope that you update this add-on to be compatible with the new version. It's my understanding that they've changed a few things internally in Firefox's newest version.

In my opinion, every new version update lately is inferior to the one before, making Firefox slowly and steadily a lousy browser. That makes me sad, as well; because I have used Firefox ever since Netscape was acquired by AOL. It has always been the best and fastest browser around, and it worked well with add-ons and plugins. Now it's a buggy mess. It seems to me that instead of getting farther and farther away from the original Firefox browser that was dependable and relatively trouble free, Mozilla should go back to basics and retain the quality browser that they could be proud of.

I don't like Google Chrome, because it is nothing but a piece of malware that doubles as a browser. However, in order to get what I need in a browser, it looks as though I will have to switch to Chrome and encrypt my hard drive to keep the bots and phishing tools from stealing sensitive data and personal info.

That said, I repeat: I hope that the Add-on bar (restored) is updated soon to be compatible with the new Firefox version and those that come after.

This was the best addon Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen

I used this constantly. It made it so much easier to keep the clutter down. Now I have my weather app just sitting there and it is annoying. You Mozilla needs to do something to fix the problem and make this available for all Firefox versions. Until it is resolved, I guess I too am going to use Chrome. Thanks Firefox

Mozilla driving me away Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen

Thee Add-On Bar was one of the most consistently useful Firefox extensions. I used it countless times every day, and will find it difficult to replace the functionality. Now that Mozilla has disabled it (as well as the irreplaceable Lazarus), I have little reason to continue using Firefox, and will be migrating to Chrome in the near future. Well done Mozilla for alienating your user base!

They keep screwing with good addon's so I've stopped updating. Seems Motzilla somehow sneaks forced updates and broke my Addon Bar. I kept a copy of old firefox browsers and backpeddedl

Great Work, Broken by FireFox/Mozilla Bewertet mit 3 von 5 Sternen

The Addon Bar (Restored) facilitated putting a toolbar at the bottom of the browser window -- which is how I used it. Then I put the icons for various extensions I use on it, ready for rapid access. This could be a native feature of FireFox, but derp, it is not. So we were able to customize the browser window. Seeing this, Mozilla broke it. WTFlub? Were they bad children and now live in basements eating moldy bread and growling at shadows...?

Will Mozilla be providing an API to work with toolbars in the upcoming Web-Extensions fiasco? Chasing users away with software challenges looks more important rather than maintaining usability. Politics?

It's a 5-star addon, but since Mozilla broke it already, only 3 stars....

Bugger! Not compatible with Firefox 55.0.3 this time! What is happening that Firefox keeps breaking extensions? (Rhetorical)

Web-Extensions is not supposed to be in 55.0.2 - (Legacy) should still work Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen

The Addon Bar is arguably the handiest add-on that I have used, among a LONG list of functionally relevant* add-ons.

It is also the most under-appreciated add-on I use**.

I understand the reasons that Mozilla/FF are changing their architecture.... HOWEVER, as I read through that "long list" of add-ons, I see that MOST are marked "(Legacy)" - apparently meaning incompatible with Web-Extensions. When they ARE implemented fully, in November - my Firefox is going to be unrecognizable. I am not using old, worn-out add-ons. I am using the best, most highly-rated add-ons - nothing frivolous or just trivial really.

What I will tell Mozilla:
"It is not at all certain that FF is going to be my - or MANY current user's - default browser after this core architecture change/re-write goes live. In view of the impact and response, shouldn't Mozilla delay the change - continuing to flesh it out - for another 8-12 months? Not only to allow more time for AddOn revisions , but - more importantly - to honestly assess the severity of the actual NEED - the temperature of the "fire" that they believe they are putting out ... by forcing Web Extensions exclusively. How does that perceived threat's severity compare to essentially breaking FF for a large number of FF users? (disabling all the features and functionality provided via "Legacy" add-ons WILL essentially be breaking the browser). The more advanced, tech-savvy users are the ones using those add-ons, and it's likely that they hold sway over a number of less-experienced FF users as well, making recommendations, assisting with setup and configuration choices, etc..

It seems clear that, for a great many Firefox users, Firefox will no longer be the browser they've come to depend upon as their default browser"

Incidentally, Web-Extensions is supposed to be coming in NOVEMBER, not NOW.

Anyway - apologies for tl;dr, but I need to say that I am sending Geek in Training my donation right now. Understand that this is not a bribe or a plea for him to support Web-Extensions - of course that is his decision to make. My donation is simply long overdue... He has faithfully supported this imminently useful and informative add-on - through so many FF updates and whatnot - he simply deserves it. AGAIN - not a plea for future support. I should have done it a long time ago. At least $5 US or perhaps even. Trivial by itself, but maybe if enough of us... consider how useful The Addon Bar has been... oh well...
