I think that everyone who uses a pc should get the add on.
I'm a big, big fan of this extension. I've gotten some serious neck, back, and wrist problems from sitting at my desk for too long. These are great little reminders to stretch and it really helps. I've tried reminding myself before, but I've always lost track of time. With this, I can just leave my browser open and my sound on and if I don't see the pop-up, I'll hear it. Nothing you're working on is more important than your health.
There is an equivalent gadget for Windows Vista and Windows 7 which is independent of the browser and therefore more flexible to use. Link for those interested: http://gallery.live.com/liveItemDetail.aspx?li=7859d5ff-3ecd-43ca-8ec9-981486efba79
would like if there is a way to just add as toolbar buttons rather than keeping in status bar where it is both unmovable and overlaps default placement =D great idea though. better that it is actually configurable =DD
I misread the name of this add-on - thought it was called something else and got really excited! (I really must get some new spectacles!).
I've tried many other timer add-ons. They've all had a very small icon that just flashed and beeped quietly at designated times. They were easily and often ignored, but not this one. The "Stretch Clock" is not intrusive at all, it's just a friendly reminder that a quick stretch is needed. It's invigorating yet soothing and I now welcome the interruptions. When I do the one (1) minute stretches, it really helps me to stay more alert, focused and more productive (it's amazing what one minute can do). I also had it paused one day and found that I noticed a (negative) difference in my work performance. I highly recommend this add-on!
“Try StretchClock for 30 days and see if you feel better.”
StretchClock’s clever developer is too humble. This useful program exceeded my expectations and became my favorite add-on in only a few days. It is simple to use, unobtrusive, and effective. If you follow the thoughtfully sequenced and quick stretches, you too will be amazed. After using it briefly, I “paused” it for a day and noticed a decrease in my overall energy level as well as a return of familiar shoulder/neck tension. I missed StretchClock. Use this fine, bug free program and you’ll love it in far less than 30 days. Do yourself a favor.
