Stillframe turns the Instagram page you already have open into a minimalist, dark photo gallery. Designed for photographers and people who enjoy looking at photographs, it puts images at the centre and keeps interface elements out of the way.

• View photos in a clean layout, with optional fullscreen.
• Navigate posts and photo carousels with your keyboard.
• Skip videos while browsing supported feeds and carousels.
• Like photos and save posts to your Instagram bookmarks.
• Browse an author's photos and open captions or comments when you want them.
• Copy post links or download the displayed photo.
• Return to the original Instagram interface at any time.

Everything runs locally in your browser. There is no separate account, no additional login, no analytics, and no data sent to the developer or an extension-operated server. Your preferences are stored locally.

Instagram remains the source of the content. Viewing and downloading photos still connects to Instagram's media servers, and actions such as likes and bookmarks are sent to Instagram through its existing page controls. The extension does not automatically like, save, or follow on your behalf.

Stillframe provides an alternative way to view the Instagram website. It does not provide access to content you could not otherwise view.
